I need to get new arrows before league this year. I have been shooting FMJs for 4 years and have really like them. But they are a smaller diameter arrow and are not the greatest for league. I bought them for bear hunting and have just kept with them.

Looking for an all around arrow that will work well for hunting and league and a possibly spot and stalk elk hunt in Colorado next fall.

    Thinking Carbon Express Reds?

I like the ones that I just bought, but just can't remember what they are.

Does anybody else shoot in any kind of leagues? I did it for the first time last year and had a ton of fun to where I would like to build a competition bow.

I've never shot league. I know that the archery club here does shoots throughout the year. I've just never been interested enough to go. I like shooting at home in solitude.

It's fun. The one here is super relaxed, go in and shoot anytime between 5-10 at night. Have a beer or two and shoot the bull with your team and others for a bit and go home. Nice night out. Plus it's only like 2 miles from my house which is awesome.

What is the rest of the current Deer Contest Leaders up to today? We went to church with my buddy to watch his boys get baptized, going to look at a couple of houses here shortly and enjoying our Sunday tradition of family dinner.

Fixed my toilet and brought the Christmas tree in and have been watching football. Almost went to the ice fishing show but the temps for the next couple weeks make it seem pointless.

So, those houses we looked at weren't right. I'm kinda bummed because the first one that we looked at we liked prior to walking through it.

Sorry to hear that Tim. I'm planning to hunt this Saturday possibly. Getting ready for the holidays and working mainly.

We're looking around 1900 - 2100. We don't want another split level and need 3-4 bedrooms, which is why we looked at that house, even though the footage was a little less

We did go look at a new construction of a floor plan that we liked. It was almost what we were looking for. Just need to see the option with a big upstairs bonus room. Looks like I'll be hunting in Nevada again next year.

The guy that hunts the other area of the property just let me know he hit a doe too far back. Waiting until morning and I'll probably give him a hand.

I kinda held off in responding. He didn't come to track until 930am. The vultures got hold of the carcass and tore it up pretty good. I'm pretty disappointed the search didn't begin at first light.

    Anybody hunting this weekend?

I'm going to be out running the dog on some pheasants this weekend.

I tried a good recipe with some of my venison roasts last night. Made some venison French dip Samdwichs they were so good!!! Had the wife parents over for supper and they also really enjoyed them.
