Good luck at the cabin Nate! And good luck to you Tony! I'll be putting in a shower in before we put the house up on the market. It's my way of showing faith (if that makes sense).

 

Raining cats and dogs here today. Might sneak down for a short hunt below the cabin seems like all the action happens between 730 and 830 down there

I worked 530 til 1030 and am taking full advantage of the only legal Sunday for my area. All settled in for the rest of the day.

Big ol goose egg on the weekend. Wasn't that great of a weekend. The deer just were not moving and I didn't see much for rut activity starting. Very few scrapes yet and if there were scrapes they were very fresh. Covered a lot of ground during my midday grouse hunts with my dog.

 

I had a 6 point cruise by at 330 then at 5 o'clock I could see 4 does way out walking to a field.

I hear ya frog. I think most activity is at night due to temps and bright moon sky. Heading home now to go over this week with my girlfriend. My buck is finally ready to pickup at the butcher too.

Not hunting related, but I'll know next Thursday if I'm moving or not. I'll spend most of next week down there with interviews and apartment hunting.

Well guys I hope to get out a few times this weekend. Rain in Thursday followed by cool front this weekend. Also looking like I'll take next Thursday and Friday off work. These are last two days before our rifle season starts. If I don't get anything by then then the real grind starts Thanksgiving when late bow season starts up.
