****The Dirt Nap Delivery System - Team 16 Thread****

I am not sure if I am going to get out in the woods this weekend. I've got to get in my pheasant pens and do some work, keep the wife happy, and go to two family get togethers. The next two weekends are bow hunting. Not sure where I'm going to be hunting next weekend for sure yet as its my sons first Halloween and I feel like I should be around for that so I may hunt that land I was at last weekend in hopes to knock a doe down or catch a buck chasing and only not hunt Saturday evening. The first weekend in November I'm hunting up at the cabin for sure and will be hitting my hot stands. Can't wait to have the next two Friday's off.

He has been there three nights in a row at one am. Sorry for the bad pictures my dad is taking them with his phone and the photos are on one of them old electronic picture frames. Lol it's what we do at the cabin. Unless he brought his computer up there.

Getting ready to help my father in law recover his deer

 

3 sits so far on 2 different pieces. My "after work" spot has had low yield. 3 does and a button buck and about 6 yotes. I know where I'll be calling after I get a buck! Place is getting overrun.

Other spot I was hemmed in most of the morning by a group of mixed 11 does/fawns with one spike sniffing after them.

Hitting a new spot tomorrow. Hopefully it cools off quite a bit soon.

Next weekend will likely only be a couple of morning hunts bc of Halloween. I love having my 4 and 1.5 year old daughters, but trick or treating sure puts a damper on my favorite night of the year to hunt!

I'm in the same boat this year. I have the 30th off from work and I had planned to go to the cabin and hunt but as it gets closer to Halloween the more I think I should be there for my kids first Halloween so I might end up just hunting down here. Which in all reality wouldn't be so bad as the deer population is a lot better down here then at the cabin. I just have a lot more stand locations figured out at the cabin since I always hunt up there. I have about 40 locations or better that I will check activity by up there.

 

Yeah. He shot a small 4x4 and just needed some extra muscle to finish the drag to the truck. He was a nice little deer.

 

Nice. I needed to get caught up on a bunch of small stuff today so I won't be making it out. In Maryland I need to shoot 2 does before I can shoot a second buck so that is the priority this week.

Hey guys I still haven't gotten the call to get my buck from the butcher yet. Hopefully tomorrow I hear something. Antsy to get those points up!

Good job buddy, looks like the rut is starting to kick in here in minnesota, bucks are starting to fall, one of my buddies killed a 150" Sunday evening. I can't wait until Saturday

Because of my limited time I set up in the actual Oaks instead of my usual travel zones. I climb a little higher when I'm on a food source so my shot hit a little high but blew out low. I saw her crash thanks to all these leaves falling. Cutting her up for one of our laborers.

Also I didn't see any rut activity but maybe because we do have a rainy warm front occurring overnight.
