Can't sleep, so I might try and remove some skin and bury my deer again

I'm on night shift for a plant shutdown right now. 6:00 - 6:30. I just cut the ears off and re-buried him. That was rank.

That's pretty good considering Justin already entered his buck for the year.

Well no pics worth sharing from the cams, although the doe licking the cam was mildly amusing. Spent most of of Sunday moving cams and stands. Still getting plenty of vids of em entering the bean fields just after dark. Now working on figuring out where they're hanging out til then. Gonna check the cards again tonight or tomorrow. Rained today for first time in couple weeks, so finally able to see some tracks. 6 days to go folks in MO!

scoot, what tags do you have for MO?

Also found out that Richard, one of my hunting buddies, shot his elk Monday night. Richard Elk.jpg He said it was a 10 yard shot.

What state did he shoot that elk in? I'm headed to Colorado in a week to hunt elk.

Out here in Nevada. If I'm not mistaken, he was about 75 miles from where we hunted deer.

Thank you. I'll probably post once or twice from the stand with any sightings or updates

Good luck! I can't wait until I can get out. Right now being so busy I could really use a day or two in the tree

I hunt on a resident archery tag, $19 and it's good statewide for one deer of either sex before firearms season and one of either after. My brother rents the property we hunt on, so he hunts on a resident landowner tag for free but has to be filled on that property. Archery tag also includes two turkeys of either sex. The county we hunt in also has an antler point restriction, four points on one side to be legal buck. Bucks are considered to be deer with at last one antler 3" long, but points have to be 1" long for antler point restriction purposes. They've also restricted die tags last couple years to one for most counties south of Missouri river, but unlimited north side
