I know it was a tragedy, but do you honestly believe these football players were personally affected by the death of a women's basketball coach in which half probably didnt even know his name? I dont buy into that excuse... People act as if campuses of 20-30k students are one big family, that isn't how real world universities actually are.

I think the coaches were affected by it and it trickled down to the players. The coaches were close for sure.

Those stats look very close to me. Bama's defense destroyed LSU's offense?

So much for conference championships meaning anything? I guess that only works if it's not in your favor.....

Write down each team that you think deserves a shot, and then write down their loss/losses......

haters gonna hate, and remember I am on record as saying we had our chance, and would have somplained not if Ok light got a shot.

Also for the record I was all for a Mich/tOSU rematch, what a game that was...

I just think the quote is funny from 2003.

Hey I'm a Georgia fan, so I'm a SEC fan...

I just really hope the game is more exciting than the last one, I called bama to win it. Was wrong obviously....but I will still pull for bama in the NC.

Plus they are gooder, just had to squeeze that in there.....

I really think you will see Ok St leap frog Bama. The only chance they had was to blow Oklahoma's doors off and they did.

That was an outstanding game, but remember, tOSU got hammered 41-14 by Florida in the NC... and with all due respect to UM, I think the they would have suffered the same fate. It's a shame that we'll never know what Ok. St. could have done against LSU, and I feel bad for the entire team/staff. They did all they could to earn the spot. But the voters got it right. I also believe that Saban & Bama has exactly what it takes to beat LSU. Home or not.... last week, this week, whenever.... You can flip a coin with these two teams and it would be just as accurate as trying to analyze them to the bone. Slight edge to LSU for home field.... but maybe off-set by a pissed off Nick Saban D! Either way, it's gonna be a hell of a fight.

So is that it? Do we just compare losses? We don't compare the wins? Those are irrelevant?

I really don't care. I don't think any team is beating LSU in the dome.

I am just saying they use strength of opponent regardless of win or loss. It's all about who you beat and by how many , however the same can be said for losses. Unfortunately it’s like everything else you can do good your entire life, do one thing that’s not right and your doomed for the rest of it.

BCS system sucks. They have been saying for years it needs to be changed. Same goes for the rest of the bowl venues. It’s all about $$$. How many fans are going to show up more or less.

Obviously I would rather see a Big 12 team play for the title. I am kind of tired of hearing about how good the SEC conference is…

I think Big 12 teams often get the shaft when they shouldn’t!

K State got screwed, they should have made it over either Va Tech OR Michigan...but both Va Tech and Michigan show out for football, they have fan bases bigger than the entire population of Kansas.....lol

I also find it funny that 2 SEC teams break the top 10 BCS and are still left on the outside looking in. Sucks to be Arkansas or South Carolina!

I also see that the BCS finally found a way for an SEC team to lose the title game...by placing two SEC teams in it! lol

I agree on VA Tech, I do not understand that choice. No way over Michigan, because their Michigan.

My biggest beef with it is if you are going to let a computer determine the top 10 teams then stick with it. There is 5 BCS bowls so let the top ten play in them. Or change the system period.

Your right about K-State, that is the forth time since they adobted the system they did not get a seat.

Honestly who wants to see KState play? If tOSU was in position that Michigan is now, they would be going. KState can not put enough butts in the seats.

"The Wildcats had an estimated 40,000 fans travel to Dallas for the 1997 Cotton Bowl, while the largest crowd ever to cross state lines to watch a college football game (45,000) went with the Wildcats to Tempe, Ariz., for the Wildcats’ 1997 Fiesta Bowl victory over Syracuse. Wildcat fans were again out in force at the 2003 Fiesta Bowl as an estimated crowd of just under 40,000 K-State faithful traveled to Arizona."

You do realize that is almost the entire population of Manhattan, KS. I think 45,000 almost fills half the capacity of some of the largest stadiums........

It's about tv money also, it's no a contest for schools like Mi, OSU, and the other traditional football schools.
