Checking in, sorry for being late been building a mini barn on my property, it will allow me to hunt the corn field that is 10 feet from the barn. I'm in Upstate New York, I do a lot of public land hunting since we lost our deer lease on 800 acres several years ago.

I don't usually comment on other teams threads but just wanted to say I like the team name. Great choice! Good luck this year!

So i went to camp last week and checked my cameras. Unfornately 2 out of the 3 cams were spun around the tree by bears. So i didnt get any pics on them. Im gonna need Junior to come take care of my bear problem. Congrats on the nice bear. I did get one pic of a nice buck on my 3rd camera. Hopefully he sticks around. Camp might not be good this yr because local farmers didnt plant any crops this yr. IMG_0496.jpg IMG_0497.jpg

No, mostly Vilas and Forest counties. St. Germain and Pickerel areas. I love it up there.

Know the west bend area well. Used to do a lot of dog training in campbellsport & there's no where else to go do something afterwords other than cabelas & eat at Texas roadhouse!

Thought I'd share some trail cam pics..... this first deer is a 4.5 yr old that I have pictures of since 2013. Notice the tags in his ears. The idnr every 10 years or so will capture a few deer in my area and put a tracking device on them & tags in their ears. I remember them doing this 15 years ago too. Last year I had a different buck appear on camera that had tags as well. Haven't seen that one yet this year thou........ uploadfromtaptalk1472090139184.jpg uploadfromtaptalk1472090174416.jpg

Last year I had several pictures of a big 8 that didn't show up on camera until after the season started. I had pictures of him after the gun season last year which makes me think he is still alive. uploadfromtaptalk1472090560087.jpg uploadfromtaptalk1472090618756.jpg

Thanks....If I happened to get him, which that's the plan, lol......I'll have him mounted with the tags.. it will look awesome I think. I do wonder where the tracking device is? 15 years ago they put huge radio collars on the deer. Technology is much better now.
