Jwork, that is one heck of a buck. I see you posted up your pics and score breakdown in the contest thread. I think you still need to add the total score in that post. Want to share the story of that hunt?

Thanks everyone, this is this first buck I have killed in October. Mainly because I try to stay out until Novenber but I was getting pictures of this buck during daylight in a little micro plot I planted the end of August. We were getting some really cool days, so I decided I would give it a shot. I hunted Sat and didn't see anything, it cooled down again on Monday, so I decided I would give it another go. Plan was to only hunt evenings for now. The pictures I was getting showed him coming from the east, so I knew he was bedding pretty close in that direction. My stand is on a ridge and it is really thick. Got in stand around 3 and settled in. Around 5, 2 does came up hill and fed around on acorns on flat below me. 1 doe eventually came up and entered plot, while watching her I heard a grunt down below me. Looked and here he come, he bumped doe and run her to my right. He then came back around under my stand and stood there forever. I have a small water hole I put in and he tried to drink from it but it was empty. I could fill this thing up and in no time it was empty. Finally he took a couple steps toward the other doe in the plot and I stopped him about 15 yards. I shot and he took off down the hill breaking timber. I got a little worried cause I hunt around the Hatfield McCoy trails and he ran right toward one down below me and there wewre a lot of riders in there. So instead of waiting(I was pretty sure he was done) I slowly headed down the mountain and found him about 100 yards down the hill. You can see my water pan and horizontal rub in the picture. My stand is about 15 yards in the woods behind the rub. The plot wasn't doing very good at all, had little patches but it has been really dry. I also have a mock scrape and licking branch to the left in the picture and they were starting to use it too. Thanks again, glad I could help the team
