Team 13- *twodogs* bucktail30 Captain Kirk Dubbya Junior jwork Lady Forge pitzer25 purebowhunting rajela seangarchery wl704 Checking in. Im a wife and mother and I bowhunt only. I am looking forward to sharing everyone on our teams bowhunts this year I will again this year be bowhunting a University owned park on a Whitetail Herd Maintience Bowhunt. The University opens the park to 20 bowhunters whom are drawn from public applicants. I have to kill a doe before I can kill a buck and we have restrictions on the buck we can kill. The buck must be mature and point restrictions. And we are only allowed to kill 1 buck in the park. Now luckily right across the fence from this park is IDNR owned public hunting land where I can kill a second buck if I want... but I have to kill a doe before I kill a buck on that property as well. I bowhunt ALOT ... but this year maybe a little less since I have a new 3.5 month old Catahoula Leopard Dog puppy that I am training to deer blood trail. So I am hoping to get to train him when any of the hunters kill a deer in the park so it may require me to stop hunting and get to tracking. But I have been successful in taking a buck every year over the last 3 years and every one of them measured over 150 inches... hopefully I can continue this pattern again this year. Here is a few of my past bucks
To introduce myself, I live and hunt in North Central Wisconsin. I hunt 110 areas of private that's in some managed land then a ton of public land. I'm slowly turning into a killer but nothing like Lady Forge above, great bucks. I love hunting bedding areas and that's what I do all season. I've been seeing consistent success, Ive killed 5 bucks in the last 5 years scoring between 115 and 170 inches. I don't think I've ever not killed a doe in a season so should be good for 50 points for sure.
I have my eye on 3 bucks this year. This bob tail buck I call "Bob" He is a 5.5yr old buck. This pic is from film footage I took of him last year . Next is Smokey whom I believe is a 6.5yr old. Again pic is from film footage I took of him And a new one I filmed last year I hope will be a shooter this year. Im not sure on his age but he has the mass. I call him " Pincher " .
Team 13- *twodogs* bucktail30 Captain Kirk Dubbya Junior jwork Lady Forge pitzer25 purebowhunting rajela seangarchery wl704 Bill (wl704) here. NC hunter here. Will be hunting public land. No bucks of merit or any size on cams, but a slew of does-hopefully that provides some opportunities later in the year. Nc season starts for me in around 4 weeks, but my work being out of town will have my hunts limited to weekends. I'm planning on heading out to CO for my first elk hunt...we'll see what happens.
Hi All Captn Kirk checking in I hunt in central/northern Virginia i hunt Bow only on my land (24 ac) and some public land as well as some of the military land.I do not have a great buck on film yet but we get them moving thru every year. i am home getting extra practice in as i just had knee replacement surgery. The doc says i will be up a tree come October 1 so do not count me out
Junior signing in! Hope I didn't miss anything; had to move a kid to college the other day! I'm a first-timer here so bear with me!
This is the bucks I'm most looking forward to hunting this fall Here had a very unique track with his front right hoof having 1 toe about 1/2 inch shorter than the other. Have a few of his beds pegged, this one being a pressured bed in a overlooked spot. One of his rubs from last fall. With any luck we'll cross paths!
Hey everyone just checking in. I'm Matt I live about an hr SE of Pittsburgh PA. I'm excited to be part of this team this is the first yr I have done this. I hunt a few different local farms close to home. I also have a camp outside of Punxsutawney that I has some young bucks on it. Can't wait to get to know everyone and what this season together. Good luck to everyone and shoot straight stay safe.
My husband killed a doe last year that only had one toe on her front foot also Thats a heck of a nice looking buck, hope ya kill him !!!
Hi everyone! I'm Sean and I'm checking in. I'm happy to be in this contest again this year. I am really excited for the upcoming season which is October 1st here in Illinois. I've been bowhunting for 16 years and I have been filming my own hunts for the past 3 years mainly to have something to look back on. Looking forward to getting to know everyone and I'd like to wish everyone the best of luck this season! Hopefully we can win this thing and have fun doing it! Team 13- *twodogs* bucktail30 Captain Kirk Dubbya Junior jwork Lady Forge pitzer25 purebowhunting rajela seangarchery wl704 My name is Scott and I live in SE Okla but I work in construction management so I hunt in SE Okla and which ever state I am working in during season.
Heading up to camp today to set stands and check cameras. Hopefully i will have some good pictures to share with everyone tonight.
While we're waiting for the others to check in keep in mind we will need to come up with a team name, identify a team captain and may want to create a team avatar.
I'm checking a couple of cameras today too. I am also hanging a stand... a few weeks back I saw a really nice buck getting ready to cross the road onto property that I hunt. I didn't have any trail cam pics yet of this deer and it is property that I can hunt but normally don't. I put a camera there near the road a few days later and I'm checking them today. If I do any good I'll post some pictures. Sent from my ALCATEL A845L using Tapatalk
