The damndest things you see while hunting.

Have you ever had one of those days that you set out for a hunt, setting up for a hunt, or ending a hunt and then you see a WTF?! Well in my short time of starting deer hunting since 2003 I've seen a few here's a couple of things i've witnessed and and a couple i could do without and ever seeing again.

1) Crossed the path of man smoking crystal meth talking to a dead deer head on some rocks.

2) A man walk out in front of my ground blind set up and took a dump.

3) A man scored on a doe, then scored a second time with same.

4) Went out to place my Tree stand on a tree heard something to my right misjudged area...2 guys in forest playing doctor.

5) Saying that I seen a woman and a Bull Mastiff playing with a Frisbee would be better.

and my last one....

6) A guy and his girlfriend crossed into my hunting path during a walk through the forest during archery season. The happy couple seemed to have gotten a little amorous. They looked left, right and behind them she dropped her pants and they went for it.

They forgot to look up about 30ft away 20ft up in my ring side seat....my response was Pssst! Psssst! Hey you! Up here. When you get through can I get a turn?

What do you have or what have you heard?

 

No doubt about it.....you sir need a new place to hunt!

when you say scored on a doe? Im hoping your not saying what im thinking.........because if so you reallly shouldnt be hunting where your at hahaha

 

Seriously dude you need to find a new place to hunt. That is some crazy stuff that you have seen.

 

When I clicked on this post I was expecting something a little different haha. That's just insane. Any of my wtf moments wouldn't even amount to that.

Dude, are you sure you are SUPPOSED to be hunting in that area? I never see anything like that when I am out, but then again, most people don't backpack in as far as I do to hunt.

 

Craig Field camp Ground area were the two students were killed. Missing those days here in Blacksburg....You know they still have the nude snow sledding in the park. During the first heavy snow fall.

 

All true....the sad part is each incident happened in pretty much in the same area. With the exception of the girl and the dog. That happened near Gatewood Reservoir. A co-worker told me of Gatewood area that there were some big bucks in that area, but it was way out there.

So I went way out there around winding roads and trees. Becoming unsure of were I was and going. I thought I would ask for directions. So I came upon a Red Nissan Sentra along side the road with doors open. I could see a person stooping beside the vehicle in a plaid shirt. I pull up to the vehicle and low and behold it's a woman squatting feeling embarrassed of what I disturb then i see the dog. Then my mind register the picture of what i was really seeing and got the hell outta there.

When I seen the co-worker that told me of Gatewood......He said wait till it get's warm.

Honestly I've never thought I would see some of the stuff that I've had nor experience I sometimes call it a blessing from all the comical people I've met hunting.

And a curse from some of the craziest shyt I've ran into. If someone told me this kind of stuff happened I'd probably would have taken up.....

Could I lie sure, but I'm not...On a blog I can be as honest and open as can be. With the way people are today certainly I'm not the only one. Or the only one willing to say so.

 

I used to hunt Gatewood all the time while I was attending NRCC. I miss those woods.

I've heard that you can hunt wild boars in that area, I don't know how true that is, but i would love to give it a go. Have you ever been up to the parties at the fire pit. before a football game In JNF?
