If you follow sports at all you know the UM helmet. It IS college sports. I grew up a fan but could barely care less anymore. But even an OSU fan has to admit it's THE most iconic in all of college football.
Yale would be the most Iconic football team of all time- fact. Sad fact. But c'mon man, in recent times the most iconic football program out there is the one and only University of Oklahoma. Way better looking helmets too...
mmmmmm, maybe it's more of an indictment on today's level of the public's general knowledge but if you showed a stock image of the Wolverines helmet and a stock image of Yale's to 100 random people, I'd bet $1000 that UM would get more correct IDs. Honestly I can't tell the difference b/t Yale and BYU. The rest of your post does not deserve a response.
it was run into the ground years before Harbaugh. But this thread is not about the current state of the teams/programs. It's about the coolest designs. And none are more cool, iconic or successful as the Maize and Blue Winged helmets worn by the U of M.
