Well after a little confusion, the story is up. Originally i was going to have Duke write it, but i sent my version to Todd and the big man ended up putting it on the front page the same day. Either way, the completed 3 year story is up:

    http://www.bowhunting.com/blog/post/2009/12/15/A-3-Year-Journey-with-a-Legendary-Whitetail-Buck-Named-Freak-Daddy.aspx

Enjoy, and i hope each one of you gets to have an experience with a buck like i have over the last 3 years, I wouldn't trade it for anything else.

I read it as soon as it went up. Great job and what a story. You are very fortunate to be part of a story like that. I have been hunting for a very long time and not had the opportunity to be a part of something like that. Now you get to move on to your next chapter.;)

I would have loved to finish writing it and give the story its proper twists and turns.. but sometimes the big man behind BH.Com gets to impatient. Apparently I'm not the only one who thought so either.. anybody read that last comment under the story...

Still.. a huge congrats to your family Caleb. Great buck.

And just checked the last one....funny thing is, my aunt took some AMAZING in the field harvest photos that i didn't post because shes going to enter them in some picture contests. I never claimed to be a writer either.

Ha there is no way that caleb would of went to this spot on that day, Its a ladder stand that he hung just for one of his buddys to hunt and for our little brother. He didn't have much hope for that stand this year but it might become useful in the years to come.
