There would be "peaceful" protests all over the country.

 

That is a guarantee and truthfully why I don't see it happening, the courts avoid controversial cases all the time for such reasons IMO.

The crying would be he packed the courts to rule in his favor, when in reality Obama left him a treasure trove of appointments and Ginsburg croaked. I hope Biden comes in to 0 vacancies on the federal judge benches. That is the duty of the POTUS to fulfill and just another instance of Obama failing during his administration.

 

I would have no choice but to except it. I might not agree with it, but I would except it. As you mention, I don't see that happening though.

 

Sota, let me ask you something. Where do YOU get your news from, that you know you can trust? I asked this same question of another member and got a conveniently vague answer.

 

Just to put this out there, if this goes to the supreme court, Barret almost has to recuse herself from the case(s). This because Trump can't keep his mouth shut if his re-election depended upon it.

He said, he needed to nominate someone who would vote in his favor when the election got to the supreme court.

You can bet the Dems lawyers will hammer that point.

I often will read a story on the Drudge report, then go read the same story on the huffington post. I prefer to read the news rather than watch the news. I do not watch network news. I subscribe to the Minneapolis start tribune and the St Paul Pioneer press as well as the St. Cloud times. The TV media has done more to influence the american public than the russians ever dreamed of.

 

I appreciate your candor. I do something similar. I try to get different perspectives from various sources (TV, internet) on a given subject, while deciding if an agenda is being pursued by the reporting, or not.

Bingo, a liberal/dem ... NO, not "every vote" counts .. "every" would include the illegal votes which is what the dems/libs/socialists want .... the only votes that matter are the "valid legal votes" as prescribed by law or legislature/constitution .. all others are null and void ...

 

I agree.. I think there is also a much bigger picture than just changing the election results. We now have tens of millions of Americans who do not trust our democracy because of this election. If the people don't trust the system, then things start to fall apart. So maybe its not enough to have Trump win, but fraud or no fraud, the American people deserve to know the truth and have full faith in their own democracy, and not be forced to accept whatever they are told.

My worthless communication degree with emphasis in journalism gives me the right to be pissed as hell about how the news is reported. 1984-1988 was not that long ago and we were all taught that a professional journalist reports without showing bias, not sure when that went out the window, probably about the time social media became a thing.

 

For the record, I was a republican all my life, until Trump. So there's that.

even if Biden lost, there would be the claims of fraud from the left/ people not accepting it... hell, even Hillary told Biden to not concede. The fact is there is plenty of evidence and shady stuff out there already., and that's just what we see/know now, probably plenty more of it. Like I said, is it enough to overturn the result? Maybe not, but that doesn't mean it should just be disregarded and not looked into

 

Likely started in 1980 when CNN introduced the 24 hour news cycle, then increased in competition/bias in the mid 90's when Fox News and MSNBC entered the ranks.

As competition amongst them became more and more to be the #1 news network it started turning to personality and appeal and opinion based programming until the point that News became the secondary platform to showing viewers what they wanted them to see. Then it became a larger platform for politicians to get more airtime and now they are nothing more than political platforms cramming opinions and mistruths as news and facts.

Remember when MTV was all music, then VH1 comes along and they started competing with each other until we got The Real World and it was forever ruined.

There is nothing in this world that needs to air for 24 hours 365 days a year.
