I was tracking blood this morning, whacked another doe :). Low double lung shot, but I couldn't believe how far she went. Deer #4 for me this year. It was a blast, not sure if I'm done or not. My freezer is pretty darn full, but I don't want the season to end!

Keep hunting hard guys, how's the action out there?

I have been busy, Mom's house closes on the 28th so I have been moving the last of her furniture out. This past saturday I was out from 1 hour before sunrise to 1030am then a quick lunch break back in stand at 1pm to dark. I saw one small doe in range. I sat one of the old stand sites that I had not moved yet, I wanted to leave the stands I moved last week alone so I can hunt them this week.

Sunday I checked the feeder boxes and they were almost empty, refilled them to the top. Moved the last two of five stands, saw lots of deer sign around the feeders. Plan is to work today, half day tomm. and finish clearing out the last furniture items in my mothers house in the afternoon. I will be hunting all day Wednesday thru Saturday if the weather holds out.

Almost forgot to mention: In my quest to replace my old F150 I went and looked at a new one. Found a 2012 F150 V8 Super Extended cab " has the pocket doors on both sides" fully loaded for $33, 146.00 on the sticker. Dealer said he would sell it for $25k out the door tax, tag and title. I need to do some research to see if that is a good deal. What do you guys think?

Hang tough guys..............keep hunting............First step in being successful is just being there.

    Dave

Dave does it have 4 wheel drive? Is it the XL, STX, XLT, FX4, or Lariat? Is it the 6.7 turbo diesel? Air conditioning, power windows, power locks, cruise control?

I know this is a lot of questions but I price a lot of vehicles for work.

Colby it is the 2012 5.2 V8 XLT model. Fully loaded, backup beeper/camera in dash, the rear split window is power. Trust me it has all the bells and whistles. I just need to satisfy the wifes question "is it a good deal"? She is all for me getting a new truck, she just wants me to get what I want at a good deal.

I want to put a Dead deer in it before the end of the year))

Dave ... that is a steal if what they are telling you is not a lie ....

I used to work in a dealership in upper management ... and I can tell you that dealers have about $3k-3,500k to play with on a new vehicle that price, outside of the company incentives that g0 to ALL dealers .... I dont know how they could sell that to you at that price ....

    Go for it Dave!

I'm back from Arizona. Sadly, a hunt never happened, Had too much work to get done and then more was piled on. There will be another day.

I'm taking my daughter to Texas for the week between Christmas and new Year's. I'm looking forward to the quality father/daughter time in a deer blind!

Isaiah, sorry for the loss. The Bears self destructed at the end of the fourth. Man, we were rooting hard for ya while enroute back to Colorado!

Anyone heard from Scott? Any news on his buck?

Matt, we need one in the worst way...

Oh man just got a knot in my stomach, don't remember the last time that happened.

I'm going to try like heck next week but I'm barely seeing deer right now. Work should slow as the week goes on so if I can slip out a couple extra times I will. Don't count me out but it is a long shot.

Isaiah I feel for you the last couple weeks, tough on the field worse off. Hang in there man.

Me too Matt. I continue to resist the thought that we are behind and could potentially finish less than first. I know we can do this, I know we can! We need to buckle down. I would love to stuff Tony in my bow case and take him to Texas! He'd get a doe for sure in a week's time.

Do what you can to stay in the game!

Dave if everything is sound on it that is a good deal the 2011 book out at 32225 before deducting for mileage. As long as it doesn't have many miles, which im guessing none then it is a heck of a deal.
