Will sadly I've had a lot of experience with Nebraska girls. Corn fed baby! Do you know how to get a Nebraska cheerleader in your dorm room? Crisco her sides and push lol Sent from my ADR6350 using Tapatalk
Good luck Dave thanks for texting me on my drive to the big city and making it go faster hope that 9 pt comes your way Sent from my ADR6350 using Tapatalk
Thats cold Colby, there are at least 3 or 4 here that will fit through doors without assistance. Good luck boys, bring home some backstraps.
Sorry Matt don't tell your wife I said that unless you imported her from another state So apparently I'm a moron and didn't know what black Friday was until I went to bass pro it was packed. I'm not a big city fan or being around lots of people. Country comes to town baby Sent from my ADR6350 using Tapatalk
Nebraska born and raised, lucky for me she is one of the 3 or 4. That just means your odds went down even more of seeing one that weighs less than you especially out there. Bring home some points!
Saw one small doe 10 minutes before light was gone. She never presented me a good shot. Right at dark something came in and chased her out of there. Big bodied deer, never got a real good look at it. Well in my eyes that officially ends the 2011 bow season. Gun season starts tomm. morning, can still use the bow but with the way these county boys are around here, I figure tomm. morning is my last chance for ANY buck. hopefully they will push one my way. Sorry guys, I did the best I could this year with all the limitations I had. Not being mobile with the climber due to the bad foot really hurt my chances this year. I guess I need you guys to carry me this year, 36 years bowhunting and I can not even put a damn spike down, how friggin sad is that? Dave
Made it guys had a good drive with Will and we are settling in for the evening Sent from my ADR6350 using Tapatalk
Don't apologize Dave, we know you hunted your ass off, broken foot and all. Not to mention the BS you had to deal with in your woods. You dropped a doe, and nearly got your buck. We all appreciate your efforts. Your a big part of this team Brother! Is there no more bowhunting in MD after rifle season, or are you throwing in the towel?
You ain't done till we say your done Dave... :D Keep at it buddy, I was informed the other day of 3 different nice bucks being killed around my area to gun season.. though I gun hunt myself... it sure isn't encouraging...
Dave you are my hero this year, you worked your tail off for the team. No doubt the MVP in my book! I just hope we can find a way to put this thing away.
Guys, I can still bow hunt during gun season. NO, I am not throwing in the towel. Gun season runs from today until December 10th then from January 6 through the 9th. My comment in the above post is based on past years experience, after the second day of gun season I have NEVER taken a deer. Sightings drop like crazy and the few I do see have always been doe. I am up a little early to be in stand 1.5-2 hours before sunrise, I am hopeful the gun hunters will push something my way. Pray I do not get shot))) Orange on and ready to leave the house in 15 minutes. You all be safe, Will and Colby should have our doe down by the time I get home at late morning/mid day))) Someone needs to step up and put another buck or two down))) PT..........What is your status brother? Still playing with the boom stick? If so have fun. Dave
Dave ... you have let no one down ... don't be ridiculous ... Colby and Will .... can't wait to hear the stories I am heading out with both weapons ... but the chance of me getting a doe walking is slim .. all the gun hunters will be driving and there will be shooting and deer running everywhere ... it's a total crap shoot ... Like Dave, I fear my adding my doe to our points is a slim hope .... but we shall see ... I wish I had places like some people that they "could pop a doe at anytime" ... but I don't .... Isaiah, Reese ... whatcha all up to?
Hey guys I'm up in a tree in Nebraska thanks to Will we are hunting some river bottom so its perfect for me because this is what its like at home. It's 28 degrees wind from the east starting to get light its going to be a great day Goodluck everyone let's keep the points rolling Sent from my ADR6350 using Tapatalk
Hit the woods this morning and as predicted at first light the guns were blasting. No shots close to my area. The two guys who asked to gun hunt ended their time on the property real quick and here is why. At 0915 I am sitting in my stand not seeing anything, then I hear walking coming up behind me off my right shoulder, I look over and it is BOB. He walks up to my scent bottle I left on the ground and starts sniffing it. Bob is my buddy, so I got down out of stand, wrapped my harness strap around his neck and walked him back to the pasture. Mr. Thomas saw me walking up the road with Bob in tow and asked what I was doing. I told him someone left the cattle gate open, his response "O.K the gun hunter thing is over, they can not even close the darn gate". He thanked me and walked away. Everyone say hi to BOB !!! I will be back in stand this afternoon, wish me luck for a legal buck to wonder by in range. Dave
