I'm excited now! Way to Go Clint!

    Get'em Dave! You too Scott.

    Matt, KILL< KILL< KILL!

PT, grab that mojo and run!

Colby, Hmmmm, I do not need anything, but there's also no point in going there without me. I'll try to break from work a tad earlier. We can roll in before they close. Why Cabela's though? Pro BAss is a half hour from my house? Let's work that out.

Eagerly awaiting the story from Clint.

Dave my hunch will pay off for that stand. If you don't see a good buck there will be something good there. Maybe a wet T shirt contest going on or something. (Just Don't Enter)

Got a lead on another blood dog that wasn't listed about 20 minutes from me. Trying to track the owner down now....

Not sure what they can do with all this rain, but I'll see what they have to say...

COLBY, your hunch was WRONG.............saw nothing, then again the wind was blowing steady 20 mph and gust to 45. I am sure it kept the deer bed down. Forecast for the A.M is sunny with a 5 mph west wind. What a ride this evening was, thank goodness for the harness. I will be out again tomm. morning.

Clint, how about some pictures buddy?

Good stuff Aaron, congrats to your wife!

Found a house number for the other guy who had the dog, and also got a cell phone number. House number says it has been disconnected, and the cell phone was saying it was no longer in service......

Went back out again tonight for nearly 2 hours. Didn't really cover any new ground, just walked through the creek to make sure he wasn't laying in there. The water had all fallen back to normal after the rain. I'll be back at it for 5-6 hours tomorrow. There is another neighbor who just purchased some land 2 years ago who I have never met. Found out his name today, and I'm trying to look him up to see if I can look on his property....

    Clint-PICTURES and story please :)

NY-Good luck on getting out there man. Enjoy the time with your brother, and spend what free time you have in a stand.

Tony-Have fun out there, regardless if you pull the trigger on your shotgun, or your release. Good luck bro!

Persistence pays Scott, whatever you decide, stay after it!

Ny, get us one! Have fun with your brother. Get him invovled with our team; show him how neat we are. Maybe he will help you hunt. It surly will be quality time spent with your bro.

Clint, check your math. I'm coming up with an even 97 inches. Congrats, That deer sure looks bigger than he tapes out.

Get after it Dave! Reese...counting on you and my sleeper (Isaiah)!

Aaron, give the misses a hardy congrats from me. Cool video, that deer's flip at the end was, "so much the drama!"

Hey guys, Ive been out of computer contact till now. I just posted the pics on the score sheet. They are from my phone so I'll take some pics with my camera here in a minute.

I've been hunting pretty hard for team 6 this year and I was able to talk my buddy into letting me shoot a smaller buck than we normally would. We've been seeing lots of deer and bucks just nothing big. Monday we decided to take a smaller buck if he presented a shot. The only buck that showed up was a 6 point and I couldn't bring myself to shoot it. The next evening the same 6 comes and he gets the pass again. My buddy is hunting above me on a bluff and shoots a decent 8 pointer. Like Scott we look but can't find it. It's late so we back out and decide to look for it today.

I get up in the morning and head to the stand I did my first hunt in this year. It's very foggy and I can barely see. I try my range finders but they won't work in the fog. Some deer start filtering by but nothing I can shoot. I have a big bodied 8 go just around my stand. I also played cat and mouse with a huge doe that couldn't figure me out. There's a covey of quail to my right and turkeys just over the bluff in front of me. The quail fly off and the turkeys move into the pasture. Soon after a coyote comes by but I'm not sure of his distance due to my range finder malfunction. It's his luck day. He walks over to the bluff edge and I hear a few deer blow. The fog lifts finally and my visibility improves. This seems to help the deer movement. I see deer down below the bluff start moving and I hear what seems to be a buck raking his antlers. Finally a buck walks up the bluff at 45yards. If he gives me a chance I'm going to shoot him. He walks away from my stand and I think damn. Then for some reason he circles around and comes back towards me. He gets to 20 yards, I stop him and let my arrow fly. A loud whack and a death run of about 100 yards ensues. He falls and rolls over but manages to get back up and disappears. Man these deer are tough. I get down and head back to the truck. I meet up with my buddy tell him about the deer and we decide to look for his first. We look and look but no luck. I'm hoping we don't have the same problem with mine. We finally decide to look for mine. We walk to the last spot where I seen him and there he laid. I got lucky, no tracking job or nothing. I thought when I shot him he was alot better but I think his small body threw me off. He ended up measuring 96 3/8.

So that's the story. I hope the rest of you guys still hunting get fired up and get after it.

Scott good luck finding your deer. We've all been there, do all that you can. S5001045.jpg

Great afternoon to sit but I saw nothing but squirrels.

    Congrats Clint!

I'm probably done hunting for a week or so, between family and work I have a lot going on. I'll try to hit it hard again on the late rut but as you guys know that is pretty hit and miss.
