Dave ... Andrew is freaking out with excitement ... which is kinda weird as he hasn't been showing ANY excitement with hunting outside of helping me track my buck ... I think you may have started a fire in him again .... thanks to you and your wife .... love ya, Bro :)

    Awesome Aaron! Made me chuckle!

PT, I have some things which might attach to Andrew's bow. Let me know what you need when it arrives!

Hey guys sorry I have been absent ( trust me ) But with tryin to pay the bills and last weekends $hiticane ( aka major windstorm ) which resulted in me getting down from my tree and ground blinding it. The bucks are basicly paired up with does and the younger ones are chasing big time. I have zero time between now and freeze up to hunt so if I do get a chance its goin to be whatever doe walks by, still holding out for a certain buck and I have eaten tag soup and or whacked em with the rifle so time will tell, nothing beats a LATE season stalk and shoot, however wanting to take one with the bow like that is ever present. Season here runs to the 15th of Dec. Good luck out there guys and stay safe!

PT hope you get to spend many hours together with your son teaching him how to shoot.

Reese the winds has been cray lately huh. Its supposed to crazy again tomorrow 60 mph and such. Might have to add another cinder block to the wind guages huh Will?

Mr. & Mrs. Dave thanks again for sharing our passion and getting a young man started. My hats off to you.

Actually Dave, what Colby said is only partly true. I will be in a treestand Saturday moring, in Missouri. I'll have a buck and a doe tag in my pocket and a bow in my hand-hunting among the rifles-some 12 hours away from home. I will not sleep until a doe drops. Mine will be a relentless pursuit! Et tu brute?

I am going to figure out this texting thing (I know, I need to bring myself into the 21st century). Once I do, you'll be getting ten minute updates!

Come on guys, let's rip this thing wide open! This is real!

I gave it one more try this afternoon, and with the orange army hitting it tomorrow, I was hoping I would get lucky.

I didn't get off work until 3:15, and by the time I made it to my stand it was already 4:10. I knew I had about an hour of hunting, and it seemed perfect out. I saw nothing until 5 and things broke open. I saw a doe about 100 yards off, and shortly later a spike bumped her around. I then hear 3 loud grunts, and I quickly answer them with a couple of my own. I look up and I see a rack headed my way. I get ready, but as he came closer I knew he just wasn't for me. A very promising 2.5 yr old 8 pointer, that would of been around 100". He passed by me at 10 yards and continued onto the doe and spike.

I will be hunting the next 3 days, but with my Remington 870. Eventually Illinois DNR has to allow us to bowhunt during our gun seasons...

Colby, my buck will be down soon, how do I know? I found my belt, my lucky belt. I have been searching for my stupid camo hunting belt for three months now. Searched every box in the garage, my blue scent free container in my walkin closet, I even went in the attic and looked. Not being able to find that belt for three months has been gnawing at me. So, were did I find it? Hanging on my belt hanger in the closet next to my suits)))

I was getting a suit out for tomm., went to pick a belt off my belt rack, grabbed a belt and my camo hunting belt was behind it. That was one of those eureka and doh I am stupid moments at the same time.

Besides, a serious cold front moved in today so Saturday is my day.

Tony, I expect text from you on how the hunt is going in the morning. Oh yeah, pm me your full name and Andrews so I can get this bow boxed up sunday to ship early next week. I am also going to look through some boxes to see if I have a whisker biscuit, an old sight and in my arrow box for any cut arrows for that particular bow.

    Goodluck tomm.
