    Congrats again Will.

I'm hunting a brushy travel corridor this morning. I got my TVF Scent in yesterday, so hopefully it draws in a bruiser for me today.

    Dave,

I had about forty text messages that stated "call me -83907", etc. Each time the messenger left an incomplete telephone number. I simply ingored them. I though it was either my son screwing around with his mother's phone or someone running a scam. Anyway, I'll watch better...

Good luck out there, today. Hope everyone gets and finds... Scott, everything on my body is crossed for you!

Yes Rocky, The TVF Scent was employed. I didn't notice puffie necks on the bucks yet. I also had a 4x3 buck intermingling with two spikes. If the rut was in full swing, I doubt the 4x3 would tolerate the small dudes. I didn't notice any chasing either... not sure it's happening this far north, bu the scent was indeed a buck magnet.

It's 29 degree hee this morning, DAve and I are braving the cold until noon. Then we're heading back to Colorado. Good luck everyone.

Found the doe. She ran a total of 56 yards, 19 yards up the hill and 37 yards into the wood lot. Bad part was something munched on her rear end. Donated the deer to the Farm. They will cut away the bad parts and keep the rest. As far as deer sightings this morning...............I saw nothing. I guess a fox or something munching on the doe kept the other deer away).

Passed on a little 8 pointer this morning. His head was buried in the TVFS Four Play. We just need his daddy to play the same role.

The wind is howling this afternoon. I'm going to set up out of it and hope to catch something cruising.

It has ben the slowest weekend possible, Friday through most of today has sucked. Hopefully tonight picks up. I would say 60% of the does have bucks following but just no shooters and its very hit and miss. Not quite there yet with the rut and my time is quickly running out.

Way to go NY, that's a deer you'll never forget. I'm sure it's the first of many to come man! Congrats!

Too bad about the picture though. Try to do your best getting TWO photos of you, the deer, and the bow. I think we need the whole deer in the pic though.

I ended up hunting the field that I saw the does in last night. The heavy wind allowed me to slip in and hang a stand right on the edge of the field. At 4:30, just like last night, I looked to my right and a doe was headed down the field edge. I already had my bow as she drew closer, but she suddenly stopped. I looked to my left and another doe was approaching me. The first doe bolts out of the field for some reason, and I turn my attention to the second doe who is quickly approaching my setup. I draw as she closes within 20 yards, but limbs from my tree are blocking me. She all of a sudden just stops dead in her tracks for no reason. The only clear part of her body I see through my peep is her head. She stands there for 30-40 seconds before blowing out of the field. I couldn't understand what happened, and I looked to where the doe stood, and right there was my scent bomb.

One thing I have found out about using doe scents, is that old does do not like them. It's part of the game though. Back at it the morning. We've got rain moving through the next 3 days, so my rain jacket will be on, and hopefully I encounter a doe or something with good antlers on it's head.

NY .... Congrats on the doe! Not sure why you didn't. Have your dad take some pictures of your first bow killed deer??? At any rate, I wouldn't even try and put that up.for.points as it looks suspicious .... do you have a doe permit?
