As soon as I pulled up to the woods the rain let lose. Sat there for 20 minutes and it did not stop, so I came home. PT...........we need pictures darn you. Dave
Wow, I leave for a few days and come back to find you guys are still rolling! Congrats Matt on the doe!! And Tony on the buck!! Seems like Deja Vu a year later huh? We are gonna out-do ourselves. I did tag a doe, my first deer kill ever in Wisconsin. It was very cool! She had me pegged, trotted off, stopped and I made an awesome shot right in the bullseye. You guys would have been proud! Saw a couple bucks cruising, no shooter bucks though. I'll get her entered right now. I've done all I can boys, keep wacking and stacking! Aaron and I will just watch from the sidelines:p
Time to kill a doe .... any guesses on what this guy will score? I have no clue .. I'll tape him up tomorrow ..
This is exactly what I wanted to see when I got on here tonight! Congrats Fred and Tony way to go on the buck! I'm running on about 3 hours of sleep from last night, and I'm hunting in the morning, so I'm off to bed. Oh yeah, I've got some pretty good stories and pictures from the World Series game, and even made a small appearance on ESPN and FOX.
Nice Fred, way to get it done. Heading out soon to see whats moving. BTW you guys have put me in a bind. I am not sure I can top last year. Only bucks I have seen so far other then doinks is the massive 8 point once and Player twice. So now the question begs to be answered, what do I do if I get a 100 class deer in range? Shoot it or wait for something that tops last years buck? With one side of the property being mucked up earlier this year and my limited mobility not using the climber, what should I do? I guess that question will or will not be answered when that particular buck steps out. Let us all hope it is bigger than 115 2/8 !!! Dave
Shoot whatever will make you happy Dave, Don't worry about the contest, it will fall in place with us on top... IF a 100"er gets your heart to skipping... take it! If it's not what you want... wait for something else. See... I already put 59 7/8" that weren't there last year... so you got some room to play if you so desire :D
Large doe came in off my left and passed behind me at first light. Few minutes later a spike buck came in off my left and passed to the front of me. At 745 had a small doe pass in front then a few minutes behind her a fork came by on the same path. All were in shooting range. Passed in the hopes that a bigger buck was following the doe. Sat until 10:30 then came home. Will be out again this evening. Dave
