Dave, the fun hasn't even started yet!! they will be seeking soon and then chasing .... in a week or so, things will REALLY start to heat up!

Don't let ANY part of hunting bum you out ... if it was automatic, you wouldn't WANT to hunt.

    I love ya, Bro!! :)

Almost put 50 points down before I even got to where I wanted to hunt!

While walking in, I heard a deer jump up. I knew the deer couldn't see me, or smell me, so I nocked an arrow and sat still. After a couple minutes a big doe popped out of the thicket at 27 yards. I drew looking for an opening to send an arrow through, but there just wasn't one.

She passed on, and I continued to where I planned on hanging my Lone Wolf. I had planned on hunting the stand I killed my buck from in '09, but this was a spot I wanted to try out. There were 4 large scrapes all under 20 yards from me, and 2 rubs, but no deer showed.

I'll be back at it Fridy if I get off work in time.

You are very right I'm wrong but I was high. I posted the net score first. I edited to and included the net and gross double checked my math this time.

I'm horrible with numbers. (Will you may get the irony of that)

    Good luck Isaiah!

Interesting sit this morning, should have came home with a doe but was unlucky. I had 4 does come in fairly quickly across a creek about 40 yards in front of me. They got up the bank and 3 of them fed out of range and one dropped into a dry creek bed 20 yards in front of me. She walked that creek bed around to the edge of a shooting lane and fed on acorns, I drew back as she walked into the lane quartering away slightly. She took a couple more steps and I gave her a "mehhhh", SHE BOLTED. I stood there a minute dumb founded, I've never had a deer bolt when I try to stop them. I know it happens and there always has to be a first but I could almost taste the jerky...

I went to check cameras after my hunt and kicked out a pretty nice buck. He ran into the woods right by the stand I sat this morning, I'll probably go back there again tonight.
