What kind of arrow/weight are you shooting out of that thing Aaron? That's some pretty impressive speed for a 60# hunting setup!

Thanks Scott. Are there not very many bobcats in Illinois or do they just not want you shooting them? There are plenty here but you don't see them very often hunting. I'm a magnet for them. I seen 3-4 last year but nobody else I hunted with saw any.

Just 334grn Gold Tip Velocity .400, my hunting arrow.

I got 288 out of a 368 grain arrow... still not bad for 60lb.

I got my first picture of one 3 years ago, but saw my first 2 while hunting last fall. They aren't supposed to be very populated in my area, but there are lots of tracks along the field edges, and in the creek bottoms.

Very cool bobcat Clint. Did you get him with your bow? The bobcat is probably one of the most coveted archery trophies out there!

Not me Dave, I think Isaiah is the team recruiter...

Aaron, that's the same speed I was getting from my 76 pound bow eight years ago. Awesome!

Colby, life is too short to hurry. Grab your camera and go hunt with its lense.

I was out tonight, saw zilch!

Dave just waiting for the first of October.

Clint nice cat we are starting to get along where I am here in Colorado I got a really nice one on camera. I'd like to get one mounted.

Huck I've been passing the time by shooting my bow alot. Taking my binos out and watching deer and have set in the blind a couple times for fall turkey but don't want to shoot one yet. As I'd like to wait for deer season to do that to help pass the time while waiting for a deer.

In other news more of my Sitka camo should be here today as well as my new droid phone since I misplaced my other and have gone over 3 days without it which has been rough.

We need to get on the board!

    Thanks guys.

Will, yep I shot her with a bow at 20 yards. I learned a couple things about them too. First, they are good swimmers. The river was up and she just plunged in and swam over to my side. Second, they can go as far or farther than deer when hit good. Luckily I saw where she went down in some tall grass and was able to find her. They definitely are tough to connect on.

Colby if you get a bobcat and want it mounted let me know. There's a guy in Kansas that is one of the best out there that doesn't live far from me. Bobcats are his specialty. I can get you his contact info. I didn't find out about him until after I took mine to someone else. I also found a guy north of me that does an incredible job on coyotes. That might be my next mount.

Hey thanks man I may have to do that if I get one. The one I have on my camera is pretty cool the biggest one I've seen and his muscles bulge and ripple its pretty cool. The one that got my chickens was pretty big too but he is real elusive and has only been seen twice in two years when cutting corn. I'll have to get my fur bearers license first though. We shoot a ton of coyotes too but haven't gotten anything that was worth having mounted but I'll have to keep it in my from now on. I appreciate the info.

Keep plugging along Dave, it will happen. The next time you go hunting and see some deer poop, pick up the little pebbles and toss them over your left shoulder. This will appease the deer gods and all your bad luck will disappear.

Well well, I was the first to tag last year. Thought I would give that honor up to someone else but no one seems interested in it)) Sooooooooo........I have the need to let an arrow fly, I have a serious craving for some backstraps. Heading out soon, wish me luck))))

    Dave,

I was out again last night...saw nada. It's coming down to the wire in Colorado (really want a high scoring mulie). I'm giving it hell tonight and through the weekend...

    Best of luck Dave!

Isaiah, I'm not sure who you need to recruit either. Someone gave me the job and since you're bigger than me, I thought you should have it. I like our team the way it is. Go bears on Sunday! Put a hurting on the Pack!
