Thought I'd give the team an update on where I'm at with the deer hunting. Went out this past weekend to make sure all stands are still standing and what not. The weather dipped into the 80's and deer were everywhere. Saw 4 does by the first stand and 4 bucks by the next stand. One wasn't too bad. Saw about 8 more checking the rest of the stands. Deer were all over the fields early and late as can be expected. My brother-in-law saw a real nice buck not far from our place. Seems trespassers and spot lighters are out already. My buddy's fence was taken apart and the chain was loose. Had a guy spot lighting part of a field on our place just a couple hundred yards from my dad's house while we were out on the back deck. Probably why we don't see as many big bucks as we used to. That's about it. Just waiting for the weather to cool down now.

Good shootin' Tony, I busted an arrow yesterday at 30 w/ the new hoyt, which I am liking a lot. I got both of my cameras up on my lease and cant wait to see if I got anything exciting on them.

    It's getting close guys!

we are gonna do what we do. move the ball on OFF then punt on 4th down.field position game. play fundamental DEF and dominate on SP Teams. no secret. everybody knows what we run on def, just have to run and hit. cant say much for the offense cause not really my wheelhouse but the D will be fine if we can stay healthy and again like i said win with fundamentals! they tried to take our sp teams away by kicking from the 35 but we'll do our best! my 13th yr working for the league (7 MN and 5 CHI)and not much has changed, well let me say that when it comes to winning football nothing changes. score more than them if you're an OFF team. hold them to less than 17pts if you're a DEF team. and keep a +2margin for turnovers and you'll win.

Good luck in the woods Isaiah, hopefully you get to see him on the hoof. Hopefully you get some time in the stand during the rut.

You ain't kiddin. If all goes well, I'll be in a tree in Wisconsin next Saturday!
I'm washing clothes, getting things together, and shooting every chance I get.
The temps are already dropping up there, highs in the 50's next week. Gonna be a loooooong week!

Aaron that is one sweet looking bow! I've never been big on the looks of Hoyt's bows, but you have that thing looking sharp.

I've done the Black/Red with my new z7 as well.

    Claw lives on!!!

Took the long way into work this morning, and standing just over a mile away from my property in a standing bean field was none other than Claw, a buck I had pictures of from last year. He grew up into a mega giant. I only was able to get about 10-15 seconds of him in the binocs before he took out, but he is alive and well. I just hope he ventures back into my area again come November. It was a little foggy this morning, but he looks to of gained some tine length, and some mass, and still has that crab claw that he got his name from. Here are some pics of "Claw" from last season.

Well went out yesterday to check my stands and realized I had not put up my harness hookup straps. Attempted to climb the sticks to my stand and simply could not do it. The pain in my foot was so intense it darn near brought tears to my eyes. I went to the one and only ladderstand I had up and climbed the ladder with little or no problem.

Soooooooooooooooo, Today I dragged out two more old ladderstands, check the welds, straps etc. Will head down tomm. morning with my sons to put them up. Going to leave the hangons up, my foot hopefully will be healed in another month or two "right around rutt time".

Four days and my season starts, this is not how I had planned on it starting.

I'm going to check my cams from my new lease tomorrow and hang a stand, say a prayer that there is a monster smiling in the camera! :D

Being I am not on a team I will give my honest review.

The Chumps who won last year will not repeat.

    Hahahahaha!
