It's an illusion, the droptine you are seeing is a small tree trunk. I would love to let these guys go another year but this could be the last year on this property. We are near a forest preserve that is overpopulated and has heavy hunting pressure to the north so the deer push south of the preserve to where we are. The biggest deer I have ever seen on this area is around a 160" 12 last year so the bigger 10 is pushing his genetic limits this year. I know of an 11 and 12 that we don't have pictures of that should still be around as well.
Uhh, those pictures makes getting up early and hunting that much easier. Congrats on some fine pictures and good luck on smacking them around come fall.
This spot has a lot of early to mid morning activity. The bigger 10 beds 20 yards from my stand several times a week and the other 10 used to work the area by MECHDOCS stand. I am hoping each of us drops one of them early in the season.
