The broadhead let me down thread

    For me, I am TOTALLY against taking a long shot like that with a mechanical ... but that's me ... what broadhead did you use?

    Geeze PT didn't you read? It was a and i quote "Rage like" but different brand you know those don't ya?

    Too bad it wasn't a rage it would have been a kill for sure. :rolleyes:

    I shoot fixed blade broadheads, so it's impossible for them to let me down.

    However, I hit a buck in the shoulder blade with a bear super razorhead once. The chisel tip hit just right, and the tip literally rolled over instead of punched through. By the grace of god, I got another shot at the deer and killed it. I guess you could call that a broadhead failure. However it was every bit as much of a bowhunter failure. I didn't hold enough for wind.

    These days I shoot Slick Trick standard's... and the shoulders that I've hit... have been punched right through.
