I got the website done for the local pro shop and finally got to take my bow outside for the first time today. Threw a new apache stablilizer on it and was just about stacking up arrows at 40 and 50 yards (I'll take pics of that next time). I realize with this bow, I'm gonna have to get a sight with more than four pins on it, which unfortunately, won't happen before the R100 this weekend. I have a wrist sling I made too, but I have to get the leather bracket for it finished before I can put it on the bow. I have to finish the carving and then dye it.
Looks good. I was going to make my own wrist sling soon but I got a new grip on my bow and the colors in the sling really bring out the colors in the grip so I decided to keep it. I guess I'll just have to make a lanyard for duck season.
Nice looking bow buddy. One suggestion, call Black Gold and see if they will send you the photochromatic housing for your sight pins. Will keep those puppies from getting so bright in the middle of the day
Nice bow!! I can't wait till I can purchase the one I have been looking at. How do you like that stabilizer? I love mine.
Thanks everybody. Yeah Stick, that stabilizer does exactly what I was hoping it would. It adds a little bit of stability and reduces hand shock a little bit. Backcountry - I'd like to add another couple pins, replace the rest of them with the nano (.010) pins, add a dovetail and get the photochromatic housing, but for the price I'm just going to invest in a Hogg-It. I've enjoyed my Black Gold rest, I just want to try something else.
Nice looking bow. I think if you switch to a Hogg, you will be extremely happy. I've had mine now for probably 5 or 6 years and its been on several bows.
Looks good buddy! I Just put the Black gold RUSH on my new bow They have a 5 pin They run right about $110 The photochromatic cover make a world of difference too.
