This past week I had the chance to fly down to Memphis and spend the week with Sean Tuohy and his family. If you've seen The Blind Side movie, you're likely familiar with the Tuohy family story and how they adopted now NFL player Michael Oher when he was in high school. When the opportunity arose for me to spend some time with them I was, of course, extremely anxious and excited to hang out, talk to and learn from the Tuohy family. While many "fact-based-movies" fabricate stories and personalities this wasn't the case at all. The Tuohys are one of the kindest, most genuine families I've ever been around. All of the fame and fortune puts them in a position to act however they want with little consequence, however, they use their place in society as a platform to try and change the world through their http://www.makingithappenfoundation.com/ organization. They may spend time hanging out regularly with "Sandy" Bullock and Tim McGraw and fly their personal plane around the country for all of their speaking engagements but, at the end of the day, they're a family trying to make a difference. If you haven't seen it take a chance to watch the movie with knowledge that the real life family is just as real with the only difference being Sandra Bullock may be a little mild for Leigh Anne
I've heard differently from a few friends from Ole Miss, but maybe they have changed with their new found fame.
