The best hunting show I've ever seen.

I just watched a hunting show on the Sportsman's Channel called "Donnie Vincent's The River's Divide. I've never heard of this guy or his show before. Is it new?

I really enjoyed this show. This was an episode where he went back to North Dakota for a fantastic buck he called "Steve" that he had wounded the previous year.

It was very well presented. There was no hype, no antics, no show boating and none of that "smoked him" or "boo-yah" or "give me a minute folks" crap. Just a really great show with a lot of suspense and a very humble narration and and reaction to the kill from what appeared to be a hunter who understood what it was all about.

Has anyone ever seen this show before?

I just watched it. I didn't miss hearing about "Mac Daddy" or "Swamp Donkeys", there were no hyperbole antics, sideways turned hats or over acting and no blaring rock music. Very refreshing show!

Yeah, now that I look closer I think "The River's Divide" was the name of the episode. I might be wrong. Is tomorrow's episode on the same channel?

I'm looking now. If all of his shows are like that I'll record them all.

Ah, I see now. A search revealed that there are only two of them and they're "documentaries".

I was really hoping this was a show. Maybe it will be. Anyway, I've set my DVR to record Terra Nova.

It has been awhile since I got it but do a search for Donnie Vincent and Rivers Divide DVD and it should come up. When I ordered it was a hole in the wall, PayPal, and arrived perfectly.

Have the DVD and love it.

I'm upset that he is showing more on the sportsmans channel because I don't have it. The next one does look good though.

Not a Vincent film but I've been waiting patiently for "The Trembling Giants" to come out. It feels like it has been years since they released the trailer.

I really did like the story telling in "The Rivers Divide". There needs to be more that - less face paint and hot babes pretending to be into hunting.

Yeah, we produce a web show and DVD's. Don't mean to hi-jack this thread though.

Did the Sportsman's play the whole Movie or breaking it up?

I hope you know that was a joke, Todd. I have all of your DVDs. :D

I'm not sure about the question you asked. I think it might have been the whole thing but I can't say for sure as I tuned in with around 45 minutes left to go.

watched the Terra Nova episode tonight... pretty cool. Kinda like Steven Rinella's Meat Eater meets Marty Stouffer's Wild America... except I think PBS's video quality was better back in 1985. C'mon, Sportsman's Channel, get with the 21st century and broadcast in high-def already. Crimeny.
