Every year for the month of February deer show up onmy golf course (especially on the 4th hole:p) like crazy. I'm out there pretty much 24/7 during the season and NEVER see a single deer anywhere. Out there at the crack of dawn and at dusk usually when nobody else is around. Never ... not once have I seen a deer on the actual course. There's some woods and swail that surround a portion of the course that I actually hunt.

For some reason they show themselves around this time of year and you can see them every single day morning and night all over the course. Kind of strange to me. The place is shutdown from November until April and there's nothing going on out there really. But never do you see a single deer until now. Then they'll be gone by the time March comes around.

My theory is they have an annual golf tournament. They congregate and roam the fairways and greens in their deer golf tourney. It's the only logical explanation.

That is strange! Don't you still have a lot of snow cover? We've still got a foot in most places here in SE Pa. A deer wouldn't find anything at all to eat on our courses.
