Why don't we just use rifles from September to December then ? Why even have a separate bow season?

That is a good point, there does need to be a line somewhere. I would still be up for youth, elderly folks, or those with a legitimate disability

like I said in other posts. give it time there will be only one season for all weapons. the crazy liberals don't want to hurt anybody's feelings so they are slowly letting more and more weapons in. " no child left behind" have to please everyone!

Airbows aren't legal in SC yet but it won't make a bit of difference. We have a long gun season anyway.

Help me understand why someone with a disability couldn't just shoot a crossbow.

They may not be able to cock it.

(I’m not for the arrow rifle bowzooka thing by the way, I think it’s complete horsesh1t that it even has the word bow in the name, if it belongs anywhere it’s in muzzleloader season, Just saying.)

you got it! that's the bad part about being a realist. remember, hunting is a business for the people that regulate it. it's all about making money and preserving their jobs. it has nothing to do with managing wildlife. so the more ways to get people to hunt the more money they make. basic economics.

I get it and agree with you, I just don't understand how someone wouldn't be able to cock some of the newer crossbows that seem to make this incredibly simple. I don't shoot crossbows, so maybe it is more difficult than I realize. I think that the arrowgun or whatever they want to call it is just an excuse to make more money as others have aptly said.

If someone is disabled to the point where they can't even use a crossbow crank to cock their bolt then there is a good chance there is somebody in the woods with them that I'm sure would be happy to do it for them.

If this becomes a means of archery included in season then I’m officially going to start my work on a new patent. The Bow-drone. That way those who are crippled by the condition of morbid laziness can still kill big bucks from the confines of their living room couch. I’m gonna make millions $$$
