Lots of us ate tag soup this year. So here is your chance to show off a pic of the one that got away or a story about the encounter that you can't get over .

This is Jack Burton i had a few encounters with him, once I kicked him out of a 25 acre block at the end of season. I missed at the end of rut due to shaking like a little kid. It ruined me for about a week. Screenshot_20181230-184956_Gallery.jpeg

Sucks that he got away, man. He's a stud and hopefully you get retribution next year. I laughed out loud at what you named him.

Just remember what ol'Jack Burton does when the earth quakes, and the poison arrows fall from the sky, and the pillars of Heaven shake. Yeah, Jack Burton just looks that big ol' storm right square in the eye and he says, “Give me your best shot, pal. I can take it.

Had pictures of this buck for three years now. He came in and bedded 45 yards away and there were too many sticks to weasel an arrow in there. Two does came out a bedding and ran diagonally the wrong way. He chased them like a cheetah and that was it, over, heart break.
Had the does not came out, I’m confident I would have had a shot. Had the does ran 20 degrees in a different way, I would have had a shot. [IMG] [IMG] Shed from last year[IMG]

This guy! I had a few pics in the summer and then he shows up 20yds in front of my stand on a day I SHOULD HAVE BEEN THERE AND WASN'T! Then to add insult to injury, he came back the next day and I misjudged the distance and missed him! The second pic is when he was 20yds from my stand and I WASN'T THERE! It's ALL on me boys.

Tall, wide and heavy. Thanksgiving morning during regular season. I'm not crying, you're crying.

  8. Here are a few for me that got away..
I managed to get to full draw and 25 yards on the double drop tine.. He just wouldn't take the final step, and without even looking my direction he hit pulled the exjector seat..! it made me sick.. ! I never did make contact with my number 1 deer, nore did he show up on camera after the rut got going.. hopefully he's back next year, Also a photo of a nice looking up and comer, hopefully finds something he likes with the area as he showed up during the rut, be a nice deer next year for sure. also i did manage to get a mule deer, not at all what I was after but you have to start somewhere..

This guy was a regular until his velvet shed. He was with a nice 8 all summer (in the background by the corn).

This is Tenderloin Squirts. I had encounters with him all season, he didn't get big being a dummy.. I have figured out where he beds, on the non hunting neighbor's, and where he passes through my place to feed. He beat me at every turn this season, challenge accepted. Best guesses is he is around 160" and hopefully next year he will be a booner. IMG_7825.jpg IMG957872.jpg
