I understand your feelings about your dog. The ones I have had to hold while saying goodbye break me down every time. I have their ashes and, when it is time, all of us will be spread out in the forests to run together again. Sorry about your dog, Tony. I wish I knew words that help.
sorry to hear about everything Tony, hang in there bud. Thats the cool thing about this website, alot of us have established great friendships and we have alot in common!
Good stuff PT. GOD is good! I know the feeling on the pet. I had to put one of our dogs down about 6yrs ago, and had to take both my kids because my wife was out of town! What an awful day that was, and they just couldn't understand at 3 & 6. Best thing I can tell you....get another dog soon. It won't replace her, but the joy the new pup will bring will lessen the sting. Mike
While I felt horrible for you after the theft obviously, losing your dog has made me cry. Sorry for your emotional week, PT.
Tough news about the family dog...but man, how about those guys stepping up to help you out...love hearing that kind of stuff these days!
Sorry to hear about Sophie PT. I know what it's like to lose a dog, they are family. hang in there. Good things happen to good people, and it is amazing that someone was able to help you out with some equipment. So when are you going to break in that Bowtech on #4?!
In honor of the man that gave me that rig, I will be taking it out sometime next week during shotgun when my Dad stays home one or two of the days ... itreally would be sweet to knock #4 down in his honor
I have a 2008 Bowtech Guardian! We're Bow Brothers now! Sorry about he string of bad luck, hopefully everything turns out for you Tony.
Sorry to hear about, Sophie. Always tough to lose a dog. I know where you're coming from, not wanting to accept the "charity". Its not like that though. This was hunters helping other hunters. These guys WANTED to help. No one asked them to, they just stepped up. As a fellow hunter, I would like to thank them for that. At least you have a Bowtech now instead of a Mathews. Free upgrade! Silver lining, Tony, silver lining.
next weekend i am off man, if you dont come down here, then i might have to come up for lunch i know the feeling on the dog man, lost all three of mine in a year. makes everything just seem empty. glad to see you are coming out of this, and mighty proud of you man. already reserved a spot for you and possibly your boy in shotgun season on opening day, call me and i will fill you in.
WOW Tony some ride you've taken..... Pride is a tricky thing, sometimes it is knowing when to accept help! To those who offered those items...My hat is off to you. Your generosity did more than help one man. It re-confirmed faith and brotherhood in our community. That's pretty damn touching. Thank-you!
God bless you Tony and God bless the rest of the guys and gals that commented and took the time to comfort you in your time of need. It makes me proud to be a member on this forum and proud to be a part of this group of hunters. You're all good folks.
Thank you, _________ ____________ for your more than generous gift ... I will pray for you every time I shoot it or think of you This arrived today I can't believe I am shooting a Bowtech :D I also received 2 HSS vests from Rick ..... I don't have words guys ... you are the best! With all the offers you guys gave me, I coulda opened up a sporting goods store
Sorry to hear about Sophie.... but glad to hear about the generosity. I was bummed to read your post about your stuff getting ripped off. Other than left handed, short draw bowfishing bows.. I have nothing to offer but my best wishes. The bad people hit us pretty hard... but there are more good people than bad. This place is full of good people.
Sal, of COURSE I am looking forward to hunting with you .... just don't shoot a bigger buck than me tomorrow :D
To whomever is the anonymous bow giver, you are aces in my book! Tony, see I told you some people actually do care. ;-)
It's amazing sometimes how God can turn things around for those who love him! This is an immeasurable gift of grace to you Tony. I am sorry about your dog I got a lump in my throat reading that part! May God continue to bless you and your family and may you never take for granted this free gift of grace that is given to us everyday by God!! And for the guys on here, there is not another group of guys I would want to spend the majority of my work day reading and discussing hunting and life with. You guys are truly great guys. Thank you for that.
