2020 bird (20lbs), the only thing edible was the breasts, great on the grill btw .. if you pull it apart/grind it, it makes some good Turkey sticks

Hey feel free to go on over to gofundme to my Brandons Thanksgiving Dinner acct. my goal is $1,500. That should cover a nice Thanksgiving dinner for me and my immediate family of 5. I tell you what these prices are asinine. We are only one year into it with these D-Bags. It felt like 4 yrs with trump flew by. I feel like bidens been in for 10 yrs. when will it end?!?

I miss the Ham my grandmother made during Thanksgiving. She cooked it with coke and brown sugar. My wife's side of the family puts raisins in their stuffing. The first time I saw this made me sick at the thought but it has become a staple for us now. Its really good but I miss the oyster stuffing that Grandma made back when. Won't be long and we will be stuffing our faces watching Madden bring out his 6 legged turkey!! Oh yeah that's gone too:sad:

Gross! That's like eating chicken nuggets that are ground and formed.

Grind legs, wings and thighs into burger.

We do the same with geese.

Legs and thighs are good in the crock pot. Cook the whole thing until all the meat falls off, then shred it and use it for whatever you want. I like to make tacos out of it. Or BBQ sandwiches.

All the meat people think is no good is actually good in soup/stew/casserole. Our elders wasted nothing.

    Absolutely agree.
I'd rather have ham any day. I could never eat turkey on Thanksgiving again and wouldn't miss it at all...I would miss the cold turkey sandwich the next day though. That cold turkey sandwich or smoked is about the only way I like turkey.
I make jerky out of wild turkeys when I shoot one.

Thanksgiving may be the only time a year I put gravy on mashed potatoes. Cream corn does not count as gravy.

Turkey, dressing, mashed potatoes, green bean casserole, cream cheese corn, rolls. No need for salad but in honor of my Grandmother there will be celery with peanut butter in the premeal. I do really enjoy having it small my immediate family, Thanksgiving is from Wednesday night till Friday morning.

Mashed potatoes, make a crater in the middle, fill that with sweet corn and top with gravy.

I usually just do butter, but you need the overspill of gravy on the dressing and turkey then sop it all up with the bread at the end.

I purchased stuffing and cranberry sauce last night. This is what it's like to be in your 40's.

That is the perfect Thanksgiving meal. Granted I would rather have ham over turkey, Thanksgiving is the one exception to this for me.

Oh wait you are seeing the signs at your age kinda going up to the top on a roller coaster, once you start dropping off....oh wait you will see it soon enough.

I am pretty damn stoked about Thanksgiving. I think I will force my children to either watch the Big Lebowski or Christmas vacation Wednesday night.
