    Well, the market got closed yesterday. DEC in their wisdom opened the dam and let about 2 1/2 feet of dirty water come down the creek. It went up wicked over night and continued as we fished. Fish were not biting at all. We went to the inlet to the lake and managed to scrape out a few fish. The only reason they did it was to screw up the fishing. I've been on this water for 68 years. This is the first time in modern times the fish ran before the season closed. Usually they're gone back before it opens as they surely will this year. It's not like we're taking home tons of fish. The limit is only 3. When I was a kid it was 10. The creek is back down about a foot and a half today... but I had to do the hatchery fish so just passed on fishing. Season closes at midnight. When we were kids you could still be on the river with a fishpole. We were poor and ate fish every night when they were running.... open or closed season didn't matter much to hill billy kids. LOL
