Here is a picture of my Father introducing me to deer and beginning my training as a wildlife manager (that hunts as part of a management plan because every time I pull the trigger or release an arrow, I am making a management decision at the local level. This make me a local wildlife manager) That was back in 1964. I’m the one on the right with my hand in my mouth. That’s my father in the white T-shirt. We have been on a lot of hunts. He is older, slower, in poorer health but still has the desire to hunt. As such, his hunting methods have change. That’s why I’m building him an insulated tower stand because he cant take the cold any more.
thanks for sharing photo and story. My dad was not a deer hunter but we squirrel hunted 0ff the back of his old honda motercycle. great times.
That's great! Wish I would have introduced at such a young age. Hope your father likes the blind and has a ton of success from it! Sent from my DROID X2 using Tapatalk 2
Thanks for sharing. I have a similar picture with my father and grandfather and every time I come home from a hunt I see it and remember there is more to hunting than bagging a monster. Its all about the time spent with who ever introduced you to hunting and the memories that have been made during that time.
