We have that here, lol . We had a Republican, SOB That's after we voted no on the ballot. Then the GOP did it anyways The gasoline tax of 19 cents a gallon will increase by 7.3 cents and the diesel tax of 15 cents a gallon will go up 11.3 cents, with automatic annual inflationary adjustments in 2022 and after. Vehicle registration fees will rise 20 percent.
The best part of the whole thing is that he recently passed a law where if the election is won by over 1% there can't be a recount. He lost by 1.2%
Walker was the only person who said Evers would raise the gas tax a dollar or at all. Evers simply said he'd review possible revenue sources.
Folks always try to enact laws to protect their own interests and then get boned by it later. There was a constitutional amendment on the NC ballot that would've taken the power from the governor to appoint judges, etc. I voted against it. A legally elected gov shouldn't have his power stripped because he's in the "wrong" party. That would've come back to hurt a future Republican gov and they never even considered that.
Our Gov and Congress raised gas tax here, so I just go once a week and get all my Gas in Ohio, it's on average .35 cents cheaper a gallon!!!! Resist!!! Just waiting for my current Focus to die, then I am going electric, screw going to the gas stations anymore
Perhaps I'll be making it Yeah driving a car every day vs my truck I used to pull my camper. The point is I'll be buying a lot less fuel. It's simple math, do I need to help you with the numbers?
Kinda funny a coworker has a prius he likes to brag about how little gas he is buying and how much money he is saving. He was whining about having to pay $900 for a rear break job on the prius, I laughed and said there goes all that money you saved on gas. No need to break out the calculator Germ. Would you like me to explain the environmental impact of the batteries used in the cars?
I voted, I always vote. What I really want to be put on the ballot is a limit to campaign finances. Seriously, every damn commercial break was filled with political adds for the last month. It gets nauseating to watch nothing but negative adds over and over. Between that and male enhancement commercials, it's just damn hard to watch TV or listen to the radio any more. In my opinion, it should be outlawed to pay for advertising of a political candidate. I would propose a database that would be accessible to all via the internet. Allow them to create a web page that tells everyone what they stand for and leave it at that. If people want to know who to vote for, go formulate your opinion from the web page. Enough is Enough already.
5 billion spent on political advertising this election nation wide, I believe that does not include production costs.
No Germ I was busy at work I have better things to do than cut and paste, go ahead buy an electric car.
