Well i called Todd, (TFOX) To see if he had power yet. For the guys that dont know him, he lives in the area of KY that got hammered with heavy ice and snow. Most of the state is without power. He was in good spirits and just got power back, his daughter was watching Greese when i called :d He has been lucky to have had borrowed generators until now. I also tried to call Gri22ly, but only got his voice mail. Todd seemed to think Josh was still wthout power. Keep em in your prayers guys if you would. Two great guys im lucky enough to have made friends with ;)
I just got out of bed after working a hoot owl last night. I checked my messages on the cell and had a call back from Gri22ly. I could scence the frustration in his voice,,the chips are down in his ara. He said he had to drive to Nashville Tennessee to purchase a Generator. He said there is not a tree around with any limbs left on it from the weight of the ice. He is just now able to get gas in Maddisonville Ky and food. Makes the ole heart heavy  I wish them luck!! and prayers sent.

Southern Missouri got hammered with the same ice/snow storm. My dad's best friend called him a couple days ago, telling him about what his caretakers for his 2 farms down there said. My dad and his friend are down there doing some work clearing roads, and assesing (sp) the damage. They're also down there to snow goose hunt, which I'm sure will take up more of their time than checking out the damage ;)

Anyone know what county Grizz lives in? Muhlenburg is expected to be without for over a month until everything is back. Several other counties have 2-3 week plans for returning power everywhere.

I think Warren county, My county, is back to 100% again.

Hey guys, thanks for the thoughts but I am back up and running.Just got my internet back tonight and my satelite earlier this evening. The power is on for now but it has been on and gone out once already so we are just hoping it stays on.

I work with a person that doesn't have power or water,(luckily has a generator)his whole town is down(crittendon co) and there are no services up where he lives(no gas or food). His dad works for the electric company and he is expecting a month before everyone has power back.

According to him,we lost 100 poles when the hurricane winds came through, but we lost 2000 with this ice storm.

There are some people that really need your prayers at this point so please keep them in them.

    Thans Dan,your call was appreciated.

Sorry to hear about this for you guys out there. I hope y'all are doing well. Not sure how handy most of you guys are, but with my first big tax-return living in my house I'm now in, I picked up one of these (link), and I've never been "without power" for any longer than about 10seconds. The bad thing about living in the sticks, is that you're always the LAST to get your power restored. The install was actually quite easy if you're a little mechanically/electrically skilled, and it's saved me from being without heat and losing my stuff in my freezers over half a dozen times.

Good Luck to GRIZZ getting everything back soon.
