I had some free time today so I decided to put the tape to one of my past bucks and see what he scored. I have done it before, but I never thought it was right. But now the official results are in. Take your best guess, I'll report back with who is closest For some reason this pic is tiny A better view On the Wall
Haha...I was actually writing down on paper here at work what I thought were the correct measurments. :D By the time I had posted, you already had. It's gonna be either you or me, LOL.
115 lean and mean, im prob way off cause you said u scored it b4 and didnt think it was correct, which leads me to believe its bigger
I'm guestimating him right around 110," not a monster, but he certainly is a nice deer that is nothing to be ashamed about!!!
Here are the results. Basically everyone was low by atleast a little bit. Except isaiah who pretty much nailed it. Right Left G1: 2 5/8, 2 4/8 G2: 7 5/8, 5 4/8 G3: 6 0/8, 5 0/8 H1: 3 6/8, 3 7/8 H2: 3 5/8, 3 4/8 H3: 3 4/8, 3 3/8 H4: 2 5/8, 3 0/8 Main Beams: Right: 20 0/8 Left: 19 0/8 Inside Spread: 17 4/8 Abnormal point: 1 4/8 Gross Score: 114 4/8
I am pretty sure they are. It is very possible that I could have made a mistake though. This stuff still kinda confuses me. I followed the instructions, but that hasn't always worked out for me before:d. Does it look wrong? The main beam is basically the same circumference all the way till the last 4 inches or so, then it starts to shrink.
Me and Instruction's don't always get along either. The last 2 measurements surprised me some (H3 and H4). When measuring the last measurement (H4) measure from the last point to the tip of the beam. For example If Its 8" measure the H4 measurement at the 4" mark. All of the other H measurements wrap your tape around the main beam between each point and slide It between each point and find the smallest measurement. All your other ones look good, I just thought the last 2 might of been a tad high. It's tough though going off of a pic, you could easily be right on and I'm way off! Either way I was way low on your buck.
