Thanks. Is there an option for high resolution pics? Sorry to ask so many questions but I'm looking at all cell cams to see what I want next. I may have to stick with Spartan but I want to shop around. Spartan is offering a reduction in price for new 4g cams if you own 3g. Since 3g is going away. They are still over 250 with the discount. I'm just aggravated that the 4g can't get pictures on demand.

Those photos came from the app, although I did have to share them to Google photos first.

I can't remeber if there was a setting for that or not. I looked at the settings I can control from the app and I didn't see an option to change it from my phone. The camera is 200 miles away from me right now so I can't check It that way either. I will try to dig out the manual later and see if it's in there. I will say that there are several really good things about the Spypoint and a few I wish were better. The great thing about is th e solar panel. That camera has been in the field since the first of November and when I went the other day to check on it, the batteries are still full. I did change them since I was there but when I got the old ones home and put them on the multi-meter they had the same voltage as a new battery. There is a battery meter indicator when you open the app and it always read full when I looked at it but after all this time I just thought maybe it wasn't reading properly but I was wrong. The batteries really were still full. The night pictures are not the best I've seen but if you are using camera to see what's there, the night pics are more than adequate. I had to send the first camera back to Spypoint a coupl e of months after I got it because it malfunctioned. They were very hard to get ahold of but they immediately resolved the problem when I did finally reach someone. They are a Canadian company and it seemed they just moved at a different pace. I am considering purchasing another Spypoint but this time I would buy the one without the built-in solar panel. I could add my own external battery and solar panel for alot less money than purchasing one with all that already in it. Please feel free to ask anything else you'd like to know.

    Blessings .........Pastorjim

Thanks for the info. All of my cams are in the shade so I just make my own battery packs. They last about 4 months. I have charged spares at home I just swap them when I go out there.

Mine are Verizon and I pay 5 bucks a month to add this to my plan. That's 5 per cam. I also pay 3 bucks a month to Spartan for the premium plan service. I like to have full control of my cams. I had att Covert cell cams but had tons of issues. Some Covert some att issues. Had to get rid of them.
