Well home now and tested mine and here it is through my wireless router... Download Speed: 15461 kbps Upload Speed: 1800 kbps
1670 up and 649 down from my wireless usb mi-fi through the cell company. Later in 2010 we will be seeing upwards of 45000 up with the new LTE 4g cards hitting our area. The wife's home network hit a whopping 1329 up and 563 down, damn at@t DSL!!!!!
Steve, been using that site for years. I won't try to run with the big dogs, I get broadband for free from my company and it's only 1.5 mg (1500K) but that's all I need. I'd have to pay for more speed that isn't necessary for how I utilize the internet.
694 up 89 down Thats for satellite internet that I pay around $75.00/month for.... it just amazes me that I am located within a few hundred hards from our local airport, a max. security prison, and our county jail..... yet I can't get DSL or Cable and am forced to use satellite internet if I want anything better than dial-up...... kinda sucks.
You will. That speed is measured out in the cloud of the web where everyone is fighting to get in and out. Think of it as a water line. It's not measuring the speed between your modem and your service provider so it will fluctuate depending on time of day, location your testing and how busy the internet is.
