I have been getting really bad at tearing my fleatchings due to hitting them with other arrows. Do you guys have any secrets as to temporarily fix them, so sort of glue or tape? I really do not want to go and get my arrows re fleatched right now i have a ticket to pay off first....
Your too good of a shot! You need to shoot each arrow at individual targets and not at the same spot. If it were me, I'd get them refletched so I knew they were right.
I think thats stretching it a bit haha, but i did call a local shop and its 30 cents a fleatch so its not bad as i thought, and will probably go that route.
what about feather vanes? That would eliminate tore fleatchings...do they fly the same as regular vanes?
Feathers fly as well as vanes but they will also tear up, perhaps even a little easier than vanes. Don't shoot groups under 30 yards that will cut back on beat up fletchings.
where i run into problems it in the middle of my vanes, its almost like a squar cut out on three sides, wouldnt the arrow just glide through the feather without any damage?
