I guess if uncle ted broke the law, then uncle ted was in the wrong and deserves a penalty.

    1. Game laws are there for a reason. If it's illegal to bait deer, its illegal to bait deer. You don't get a pass because of who you are or what you've done for this sport, or any sport for that matter.
    2. Ted should've been smart enough to know the game laws where he was hunting and use a reputible outfitter. Clearly if these guys he was hunting with had half a brain they would've known it was illegal as well.
    3. Why would Ted call out the guy who busted him for doing something illegal, thus drawing more attention to it? Makes no sense whatsoever. Especially since he is so pro-law enforcement.
    4. The Shift key makes capital letters. There is one located on either side of your keyboard. ;)

Bingo. (And I am a big fan of Ted.)

That was my first thought as well. WTF?
Ted will want this to go away ASAP. I could see him making a smart comment on one of his shows about being free but that will be the extent of it.

    I'm sorry forgive me......

    1. Ted shouldn't have baited deer where baiting is illegal.
    2. Ted shouldn't have shot a spike where only fork horn deer are legal.
    3. Ted shouldn't have tried to cover it up calling the spike a forkie.

and 4 is kind of the most important, Ted shouldn't have been dumb enough to put it on NATIONAL TELEVISION. How dumb can you get to illegally harvest a deer, and THEN put it on TV after you seemingly got away with it.

I'm neutral on the whole TED subject, other than I'm glad to see he isn't above the same laws that govern the rest of us.

What you're missing is the fact that he broke not ONE but TWO laws.... Ted is a TOOL in my book, a draft dodging slimy SOB. I'd rather have him NOT speak for me when it comes to my hunting and gun ownership rights as I don't think he's nearly as "Holy" as he tries to portray himself. Be a fan if you like, but the guy is about as good for our cause as any other POACHER is.

Ted owned up to his law breaking and paid his fine, never argued a bit, so what are you so angry about???

I've never cared for him anyway, but when he goes and does this, he's not only making himself look bad, but he also makes the hunting community look bad as he's such a LOUDMOUTH representative of us.... I'm still trying to figure out how and why he's in the "Bowhunter's Hall of Fame" amongst the likes of the GREAT Fred Bear, Fred Asbell, Chuck Adams, Jim Dougherty, and Howard Hill to name a few, but I know it's a BLACK EYE on US when he opens his mouth and spew schit out!!! Keep this in mind if hunters don't care for him then how much POSITIVE do you think he really does in bolstering up support for us from people who may be "on the fence???" Very little. If Ted would go away, he'd do us far more good than he does when he's running his mouth and calling people cowards all the while he was a COWARD as well dodging the draft........

Guys like GMATT, Schultzy, RobPA, Buckeye, Germ, and just about ANY of us here are much better representatives for the hunting community than Teddy Bigmouth, yet nobody has ever heard of them because they are not RICH Rock Stars. Keep the Rich Rock Star, I'll take the REAL GUYS who hunt anyday......:tu:

I'll guess you're a big fan of baiting, but are you a fan of QDM??? Do you follow game laws that are in place for deer management, and not shoot fawns or does during buck only season??? What Ted did was more than the baiting thing, which I'm SURE he knew was illegal, he also killed a small spike buck that wasn't LEGAL to kill as it didn't meet the LEGAL deer criteria, both law breakages which make him a POACHER!!! Regardless of your OPINION, he BROKE THE LAW, and willfully so, which makes him nothing more or nothing less than a POACHER!!! But I'm sure after he arrowed that tiny little milk on it's lips spike, he "proclaimed" that "The BEAST ()" was "DEAD."

There is lots of river out here where you can't use bait to fish with. Also having the freedom to marry who ever you want is a little different than using bait to attract animals that don't know any better so you can shoot them. To me I love hunting due to the challenge and the thrill of beating that animal in it's own habitat. I wouldn't want to use bait to bring a animal in under my stand at 10yards so I can shoot it. I like the free chase aspect of hunting. I don't know much about Ted, but I would think if you are trying to be a hunting "icon" than you should at least follow the rules. He makes his living out of hunting, he is risking a whole lot by cheating like that.

I'm still waiting on the official release of everything. Saw most of it last night on bowsite, however. There are also a lot of accusations flying around including draft dodging and sex scandals. I can say a lot of respect has been last over the past 24 hours.

I appreciate what he STOOD for, not what he is.

BBD, you may want to stop using Magnus....they were the first to yank him from their site:throw:

hold up! do you follow the laws????you damn right i am a big fan of baiting!!!! its legal in north carolina and food plots are legal in va.. there is no buck only season in north carolina and Idont shoot fawns! I
dont poach. I shoot deer that needs to be out of the herd and let small bucks walk.i follow the law but apparently the law doesnt work for me b/c i've called the game warden a 100x's and 1 nite i just got tired and took the 243 out and got my point across, but apparently enforcing the law is optional choice in that field of work

For the RECORD, Ted himself has many times made known that he was a draft dodger, and the illegitimate child that he was ordered to pay child support for in 2005 may clarify some of the sex scandal questions.....

I see your point, but you also have too see it from the GW's standpoint as well. Ted Nugent aired an incriminating broadcast on a nationally recognized channel. If they didn't act they would have been executed on the spot.

 Baiting is for guys who don't like to "hunt." Ted's a TOOL, nothing more. Not sure what you're saying about calling the game warden 100x's blah, blah, blah, but laws are always subject to discretion at some level.... Do I follow the laws??? For the most part, I don't bait deer, even though it's legal in my state, and I don't poach deer that aren't legal for the taking.

WTF??? If Ted is STUPID enough to put a video on air of him breaking the law, then he's worthy of paying the fine. Unfortunately, he probably made his money 100x over what the fine was just for that episode, so it's really no skin off his nose. This ain't about GW's "gettin' off their asses," it's about some CELEBRITY BIG MOUTH who is a POACHER.

Ted is a TURD in my book. He supports too much of what I personally DON'T support, and what he supports that I DO support, he's such a poor representative of, that he does more damage than good with swaying the opinions of the "On the Fence" people.

look i understand that, i'm not against the law just how its carried out. we all follow the law but we arent afforded the luxury of the law working for us or our property and i dont agree w/ that. I agree that putting it on tv was stupid and he deserved his punishment for his stupidity! i'd just like to see them do thier job in the field instead of the couch.
