Just watched this YouTube video today. Very cool advance in magnet tech. Instantly began day dreaming of how I could use these...vibration isolators seems like an obvious option and a "locking" trail camera adapter seems possible... https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&sou...gUoOrwxTOyOOKJQnQ&sig2=Voos5c3l8QJlnSnDHyI9Yw
Just think of the bow inventions you could make. You could install magnets in the riser shelf and on the end of a arrow or in the insert of a arrow and make a zero contact rest. It could be endless in the inventions to be made! Really cool
Simply amazing tech. Just think, the hecs suit could now become a reality. Just map the electromag field individual to that hunter and print a set of mags to be imbedded into the suit and viola instant invisibility to your intended prey. While I may just be a bit tongue in cheek with that the possibilities are endless. Think about machinery couplings, or what about clutch packs in an automatic transmission, or in the med field with knee replacements having this designed to prevent wear on the replacement joint essentially making them permanent instead of a 10 to 15 year lifespan. Just a few random thoughts.
Very cool. I can see several bowhunting and archery innovations with this tech. A drop away rest with no springs but instead magnets. (r.e. kaz-away rest)
This idea almost made it but it was a flawed design. It could be made to work with proper execution. Air Rest from American Whitetail & Double Take Archery
Mag nock and then NAP tried the magnetic arrow nock but it fell flat. NAP ThunderBall Magnetic Nock Starter Kit @ Draves Archery
Yeah, I posted that above. It was way to finicky to stand the test so its not available any more. It doesn't take much imagination to make it less finicky and more reliable but I question need with modern dropaways.
