I would take Denver's defense over New England's defense. Nice misleading stat... "But in the fourth quarter, Tom's is 91.0 and Tim's is 99.6." Oooohhh...8 more points. You don't have throw the ball as much when you score in the first 3 quarters, and enter the 4th quarter with a lead. "Tim is helped by God, according to his pastor, Wayne Henson. "God favors Tim for all his hard work," the pastor says." And you guys thought I was making it up. Interwebs = True.
I will put it to you this way... Put Timmy on the Patriots and they would hardly ever win a game....defense gives up too many points and would not score enough. But Brady on the Broncos and they would win alot of games...wouldn't score as much as the current Patriots but wouldn't need to with the strong D.
I can't even believe the two is being compared. Brady is 10 times the QB that Tebow is right now. On a similar but different note, anyone watch "sound fx" on the NFL network last night - they had Tebow mic'ed when they played the Bears. Tim prayed and God delivered - I myself am now starting to believe....:D
This maybe one of the most ridiculus questions I have ever read. If any one really has to even think about this they are picking for a non football reason or a true HOMER!!!
Bingo... we have a winner. As nice a story as Tebow is at this point.... AT THIS POINT... you have to go with Brady. I know they have some weaknesses.... but then again, they have Brady. The only guy better right now is named Rodgers.
Rick Reilly, as usual, writing an article in which he himself doesn't even believe to build internet hype, get people to his site and get people to ESPN.com. And, as usual, he's succeeding!
Tebow is a great story and a very good person...however...he is rolling with house money! His defense has kept him in games and his kicker has been amazing. In all reality...other than the game against the very bad Vikings...Tebow has been very bad for three quarters in most games. Bad teams change what they do well in the forth quarter and have allowed Tebow to have just enough success to get close enough to win games on long fieldgoals. What good team have they beat? KC? Bears? Raiders? Vikings? all bad! This week the real Tebow will show up and the fairytale will be over. I am not a hater, but you have to give Coach Fox, the defense and special teams as much credit as Timmy
I agree, who would have thought Tom would become one of the greatest QB's in the NFL. I remember watching the game Carr benched Tom his SR year for Drew Henson Nice call Carr
The way Carr handled the Henson/Brady situation was possibly his biggest mistake at UM. I know there was pressure on him to play Henson, and Henson was toying with leaving for baseball, but Brady out played him in just about every game. Still, they split time. Who knows, maybe dealing with that helped give Brady the drive he has today. It certainly worked out better for Brady in the end.
Heard a funny one the other day after the Today Show called Tebow God's Quarterback. "Tom Brady passes away and is up in Heaven talking to God. God tells Brady he was a good person on Earth, worked hard and a great quarterback. So in return for all that he did on Earth he was given a house by God. Nothing fancy but a nice home with a Patriots emblem on the mail box and his Jersy hanging in the living room. God tells Brady he should be happy because not everyone gets a home in Heaven. Brady looks around the outside of his new home and notices a three story mansion accross the way. It has an orange and blue lawn, a broncos flag flying, a swimming pool in the shape of a bronco and a huge Tebow jersy draped out one of the windows. Brady tells God,I don't want to sound ungrateful for the home you have provided me but when I was living I was a Pro bowl quarterback, took my team to three super bowls, and led the league in passing for many years. Why does Tebow get such a bigger and better home? God looks at Brady and tells him, thats not Tebows house thats mine."
