I think its a bit older than that. Sometimes when they get real old the bellys flatten out again and they can be decieving. The buck i shot this year i know to be at least 6 1/2 as i have had him on camera every year and he had a similar body. I am sending out his jaw to get the official age.

Those are some great looking bucks!
Here’s a fun video of a buck I’m watching. I think his older brother is still around but I don’t have a pic of him yet.

After looking at my card pull's late last night...I'm pretty sure the bed I found belongs to this guy. The new camera shift should let me know for sure.
Got him three nights in a row on the same trail, going the same way.

No, just learning an sharing ...he's a new buck. I've been looking to see if I've got any history with him and so far I don't think so. I initially thought the bed belonged to this buck that I've been watching for a couple years. Was hoping he would blow up, but now I don't think he ever will.

Its really hard for me to tell 1 to 2...and 2 to 3 unless there's something distinctly obvious. Could it be? No way to know for sure.

Something about the one overlayed makes me thing he is an older deer.

Compared to this years deer, bases look further apart, main beams come out straighter, and brow tine length differences have swapped. Seems those 3 characteristics tend to stay somewhat similar in the known year to year photos I've seen.

Granted he is also out of velvet and probably shed his winter coat so could be the reason I see him as older.

See, now this buck is cut and dry from 2 to 3....I will find someone who would like to shoot him and do my best to make that happen, lol.

Agree. I could see where it could be, then could see where possibly may not.

just set a new stand deep in public land here in indiana 2.5 mile walk and some looking decided on an edge that overlooks beans with a giant oak flat in woods. Hopefully it will pay dividends for us this year.

Well looking at the weather, opening day looks like it's going to be hot one at a high of 83. Not surprised but wouldn't mind to hit a front just right. Obviously things could change in roughly 12 days. Either way, Lord willing we will be somewhere with a bow nocked and ready.

I've got Sept 4th through the 14th planned off....hopefully I can get a good one figured out before then. I've been struggling to find one particular buck I really want bad, lol. He's a 6yo this year and it's time for he and I to meet up in person. Ive got 5 cameras deployed and devoted just to finding him right now.

Yessir, hopefully you will get the opportunity this year. Keep us updated. Ha, I am anxious now to see what you pull from your cameras almost as much as my own now to see if the 6 year old will show up! With 5 cameras out, hopefully you will get him on one.
