Hey guys I live in East Tennessee. Im 18 years old, and love to bowhunt. I’m looking forward to getting to know you guys and hope we all have a successful season. I don’t care who’s team leader you guys can figure that out. I’m just gonna make sure we are checked in. Just tell me you’re here and I’ll fill it in. Good luck! I’m here and ready to rock! Sept 26th can’t get here fast enough! Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
I'm here! Guess we are the only ones repping Rocky Top, let's get at it! I see both of you guys are in the eastern, I'm in middle TN, just north of Nashville and south of the KY border. I got some good bucks on camera, I do not see why we can't put ourselves in the winners circle this year. I suggest we spam every thread related to this state contest with Rocky Top just as they do at UT games, just keep the song on repeat for all to hear.
I have a 4 year old in t-ball, I do not see any big issues with field time, but the first few weeks I may not be in the woods much. Plus, I hate hunting in this damn heat/humidity.
I need to shoot a doe as soon as season starts but I won’t be hunting in this humidity much either. Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
This cool forecast coming up isn’t going to help the wait for opening day! Tobacco barns are smoking and the weather is changing, it’ll be here before we know it fellas!
Yeah I saw the high and lows next weekend and it’s got me pumped up for opening day. As well as my cell cam keeps going off. Bucks are traveling the top of the ridge behind the house all day long Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
The velvet hunt helped me narrow down a travel corridor, debating moving my preset sticks into that area. I’ve watched that area for a few years but it seems to have become much more prevalent to travel.
Well, you fellas ready for the weekend? I have my "pattern" set, I see no reason to be in the stand before 4pm, everything seems to happen 5:45pm+. I plan on slaying a doe opening weekend, I've been out of venison since April...damn covid.
I’m ready to rock, hung the Novix yesterday actually to make my life a little easier. I’ll be in the stand from Saturday to Thursday. Temps look fairly nice also. My deer movement has been all over the place, so I’m pulling all day sits. The deer movement has been pretty frequent. I’ll be taking a doe if the opportunity arises. The 8 pointer I really want to take has been visiting once in a blue moon and during daylight. Fingers crossed. Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
Don’t even know if I’ll hunt the opener having a lot of family issues right now sadly. But will be taking a doe as soon as I get the chance. I hope you guys have a good and successful weekend, and be sure to tell how it went. Good luck guys Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
Didn’t hunt today but will tomorrow morning. Humpy I seen you shot a buck. Good luck on the track job! Update us here too not just team 9 lol Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
Well, we obviously are not good at keeping this thread updated. Oh well. Shot a funky guy last Wednesday, after a cluster F trying to figure out how to score it, I came up with 77 6/8. Not breaking records but he sure is cool looking.
Is it the first we shoot or any? I know it has to be a TN deer, but I still have a tag left and big fella roaming around.
