I can only speak for the area's that I will be hunting and with the number of bucks I am seeing I believe it is going to be a fierce rut. Doe numbers seem to be down so I think this will only enhance the rut.
I'm cool with the team name and avatar idea. UPDATE TIME: I went out west and them damn older model stealth cams that I have suck. I put out the cams on July 20th and by the 27th they were dead and very few pics. As soon as I got some $$ I am going to be buying a new stealth cam. I know for sure these rocks.
Ours opens up October 1st But I will be doing some filming in Wisconsin in September so I'll at least get to sit in a stand early Mathews Chill X NAP Carbon apache HHA optimizer Pine ridge stab CX Maxima Hunters
Yeah some of the old ones didnt work as well. The new models are amazing though. I love the g series. Very impressive for a inexpensive camera.

If you are looking for great cameras at about $200 I would recommend Bushnell. I have three and the battery life and picture quality are top notch.
Update Time: This morning I purchased the Bowbat XL in lost camo so I hope I'll be plenty happy with that. I'm going in to check the camera today and switch out the chips. I hope to catch some deer movement. Also I may have good news, the girlfriend and I are going to look at a house for rent today. It's owned by an older retired women who says that if we rent from her I have a 40 acres of unpressured land to hunt on that's right behind the house. If we like the house and it seems like a legit deal I may have my own little 40 to hunt on which I've never had. Cross your fingers. And lastly the season starts for us Wisconsin hunters Sept. 13 I believe. Pray for some colder weather. This muggy crap is driving me nuts.

So everyone, we looked at the house and to be honest I think we are going to take it. On a plus side note instead of 40 acres to hunt on I believe I will have a total of 80 plus acres that will be all mine to hunt on. I talked to the current owner and he told me it's mostly red pine and hardwoods which he said there were a lot of big oak trees. I suppose I'd be a little skeptical about what he told me until her said that he was a logger. I hope this area is as good as it sounds.
