Peak it sounds like tennis elbow I had that a few months ago and it sucks. Just take is easy and don't rush into lifting things. Try getting a elbow brace it will help some. I am going to the doctors tomorrow so I can get release to full duty at work.
Thanks man I will take your advice on that. 262-206-8507 team if you want to text while on the hunt or just plain share success pics right away.
Peak I hope you have a speedy recovery, at least it didn't happen during prime time. 715.218.1405 is my number if any of you wants to text.
Guys if you are interested the is an App called Groupme. The team I was on last year used it was pretty cool. Basically it sets up an active group text which acts as a message board for all of us to communicate while in the woods or where ever. If everyone is interested, download the App, PM me your number and I will start our group. Let me know what you think? Btw I will be heading out for the first time in MD tomorrow. Good luck to anyone else hitting the woods.
Good luck be safe hammer So I'm headed out today to do my last check on cameras on my Illinois property. I talked to Brandyn our editor might go hunt from Wisconsin will be on next Friday's episode Mathews Chill X NAP Carbon apache HHA optimizer Pine ridge stab CX Maxima Hunters
Went out this morning. Saw 10 turkeys, but not a deer one. Maybe tomorrow morning. BTW, it's been hot!
I just shot my bow to test the elbow and their was some pain but nothing to mess up my shooting at this point. I'm going to give it a go tomorrow afternoon.
I don't have a smart phone so I don't know if the group text would work with mine or not. Went a set a stand at the in laws yesterday the spot might be better for gun season. I will be able to see at least a 1/4 mile or so which I like to have a stand where I can see a lot and enjoy the time in the woods.
Hey fellas...I set up The Reckin Crew on Groupme. I have the following guys in the group: Aubie923 Michael_pearce Marauder peakrut PTjoe Sent a message out also.
Update: As some of you may have saw, I was very fortunate in recovering my two stands off of public thanks to some very generous loggers. Well long story short they cut past my stand and left my tree alone along with my camera which they hooked up on my tree. So I managed to recover my stands. Well on friday I managed to get one set hung and put my camera out and also baited. (For the record I'm not huge into baiting but it is allowed by us and since it is, most hunters use this method of attracting deer so I usually use it to my advantage otherwise the other hunters in the area will attract most of the deer). Anyway I put my camera out and baited again on sunday and I have a nice doe and her fawn already eating up everything. I can only shoot a buck this year however I'm going to do a little more scouting and see if I can find where the bucks are. I'm still in the process of moving in the new place and doing some fixing up so I won't be able to hunt this weekend but the next weekend it is on!
Another update, my girlfriend was heading home and about a mile from our house she spotted an 8 pointer moving in the daylight.
I was talking to my neighbor last night and he said his grandson had a big buck run into the side of his truck and leave a huge dent. It happened right next to the woods I hunt so I am hoping that it is still alive. What do u guys think?
Thanks. One of the guys in camp rough scored him around 170. I'll have to get it officially scored when I get home.
