I should be able to get out Monday afternoon for a hunt. Season opened yesterday but i'm so busy right now.
Just got back from Colorado...unfortunately no kill but two absolutely incredible encounters with bulls. One was within 23 yards of a 300 class bull. I was waiting for a perfect broadside shot and he never gave it to me. I'm kicking myself now but feel as though it was a responsible thing to do. Oh well ...that's hunting. Maryland season is open and I will be in the stand this coming Saturday.
I leave for Colorado on Friday so hopefully my first buck will be a big mule deer, but am going out there for elk mainly.

Congrats Michael! Nice Job! Update guys, I haven't been out this year do to the fact that I'm packing, painting, cleaning, moving, and still doing my day job during the week. However I did take off vacation this Friday to take my stands off of public and put back up on the 80 acres of private that is located behind the house that we will be moving in to. I will be doing my scouting on Friday also and hopefully finding some good spots. So that is where I am at. I know I should've had this stuff done already but we made our decision about 2 weeks ago to move so everything is all very sudden. I'm very optimistic this season though because this piece of property has a lot of deer in the area. Across from our driveway is a hay field and every night we see 10 plus deer in it plus several others as we are driving back into town. I'll let you guys know how everything else goes after friday.
Well I'm going to be on the shelf for a little bit which sucks. I help coach my sons football team and I've been helping out with the blocking pads and dummy bag. Well they have beat the hell out of me and my left elbow has been hurting pretty good. I can't even lift anything remotely heavy. I tried to pull the bow back about 20 minutes ago and it is not happening. I will continue to ice it but it feels more on the bone so I don't think this will help. I will keep you all posted. I sure hope this isn't a season long thing.
