Good morning from the stand. It's 37 degrees and dead still. Very quiet and no deer.

Sorry for the delay. I work between Cambridge and Caldwell. Mostly around Seneca Lake.

Getting close to finished! Should be in stand Thursday afternoon for my first set. Nothing new to report since I been working. But I did bring my bow and yesterday I shot my second robbinhood ever from 25 yards. Nothing amazing to a lot of you but I have been battling target panic worse then ever the last 2 or 3 years. The last couple months I've been feeling great out of no where. This helps the confidence big time! Take me to the deer I'm ready!!!!!

I got back from Ohio last night. No Entries for me this weekend. I did have a lot of up close and personal experiences. I use Conquest Scents Evercalm all the time. I had a fawn come up to the corner of my ground blind, down wind to smell it. When it did, the big does followed her within 7 yards of my blind. When she wasn't alarmed and walked back, they went back to feeding. I have yet to see any horns but it's still early. We are starting to get some last light pictures of bucks so it's just a matter of time.

Dmax that's awesome. Glad you had a good few hunts. Same for me, have yet to see headgear but that's okay. It's been really slow this weekend despite the cold front. The last 5 sits I haven't seen a deer which is unusual for around here but I'm not worried. Right now I'm sitting on 4 loaded late baring pear trees. I started using that evercalm too this year, but I haven't seen direct results yet. I've heard a lot of good about it though. Good luck boys

Sounds like you have the same luck my father has. He rarely sees any deer and if he does they usually end up snorting at him. I keep telling him that he must stink. He uses all the scent free stuff, but nothing as a cover scent.

Been out 3 times so far and have seen 15 does and 3 bucks. Two basket racks and a 130ish 9 point. Heading out on Wednesday. Will be a massive cold front that will drop the temp about 20 degrees cooler than Tuesday. Hoping to see some mature bucks.

There will be plenty of time later to take a doe. I usually always wait until I got a buck before I shoot a doe. The places I hunt, have lots of does. That means when the rut comes, the bucks will follow.

A drop in temperature that much should definitely get the deer up and moving. At least your seeing bucks. Good Luck tomorrow.

My first sit should be Thursday afternoon. So excited time is dragging lol. I've only got 1 shooter on cam and he's only showed up twice, a couple months ago. But I'm not to worried, my property treats me well. I do have 1 doe tag also.
