Glad to have you boys on board with us. Just put a new trail camera up at a water hole here close to the house. Saw a mulie buck run off from there hope to see him again Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
Ok so here is a little bit about me. My name is Shane. Go figure. I've been involved in this contest for a few years now. I live in Northern Illinois. I mostly hunt the suburbs around my house. We lease a piece of ground in galena (about a 2 1/2 hour drive from my house). I hunt 5-6 days a week and I've been known to completely disappear in November. Last year I shot 2 bucks with my bow. One on opening day, and the other was my biggest bow buck to date, scoring 133". I have been fortunate enough to tag out the last two years so hopefully I can continue my good luck. This year I have a few good ones that I'm after here locally. This year I will be hunting elk and mule deer in Montana with my bow for one week. So I'm pumped for hopefully a good year. Glad I made it on the team.

Let's welcome MaxPetros and Shane to our Team. Our Team is now complete and it is time to start racking up the points. I'm headed to Ohio tomorrow for the season opener on Saturday. Good Luck Guys!
Nice looking buck dmax. Wife will be hunting solo while Im at work saturday morning. And I will be out with her sat night. Then Sunday we will be hunting a co worker of mines 5 acres behind his house in Fairfield county. Its an hour drive but he has a legit travel route through his property and alot of deer have been shot over the years. He has a monster of an 11 point in early evening cruising through and has gave me the go ahead to lay him down if I see him.
This is the Ohio Buck that I'm after. This pic is from last year. I have a couple from June when he was still growing. I hope I have some more pics on my trail cams. I'll find out later this evening.
I was out this morning for a couple of hours. I saw about six deer. I had a doe at 50 yards but she wasn't cooperating. I was hunting 2B in Pa and the acorns are everywhere.
Just hung a new lone wolf set. Corn to the north and east and bedding to the west. I've been seening does here every morning, hopefully they'll be here opening morning. Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
Looks like a real nice spot Harper. Good luck Just had another shooter show up. If I was patient and smart I would let him grow, because he would be an absolute STUD in a couple years. But that won't happen because he's gonna get an arrow first chance I get.
I would have a hard time passing that buck up too. I can pass 120" - 125" deer all the time, but once they start hitting 130" +, it's all over.
Ohio didn't produce any Entries. I could have shot does every set but I usually wait until December before I take any Does. We go back to Ohio 10/07, hopefully it will be cooler and better buck movement. Now to prepare for the PA season opener this Saturday.
This is the buck I'm looking for this Saturday not huge but it's one of the biggest I have coming in an well Imean ready for some deer meat hahah Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
I went out with my wife to hunt at a friends house just south of Lancaster in Fairfield county last night. Its a 5 acre wood lot with massive elevation change of about 150-200 meters, in a narrow and very long lot, with an additional 8 acres narrow and long with it that belongs to a neighbor. And for my first sit I had 2 doe within 40 yards at 6:00-6:30 on the path I walked in on by a sandstone outcrop at the very to. I was midway down to a gas right of way along an atv path. And the ladder stand I was in makes quite a bit of noise if I stand up and try to turn around, so I let them walk. They continued around towards my wife but must have went down the ravine as they never made it to her stand. A buck down on the gas lines was rubbing a tree then started thrashing it but it was too dark for me to see him over 100 yards away. Successful hunt either way and a great time.
I have all my stands hung and cameras checked. Currently nothing great around but I always have good bucks some years they just dodge the cameras better then other years. I head to Ohio this morning for 2 weeks, sadly though it's for work not tree time lol. When I get home the playing field is set and I'll be ready to dress like a tree for 2 weeks of hunting the "October Lull". If bucks are moving at my Maryland spot might try down there as well, just have to see what's going on. Wish I was going to be here this weekend to hunt the opener but these dang bills don't pay themselves lol. Good luck everyone who is out!!
