I haven't seen a deer the past 3 nights here in PA. I am heading back to Ohio this afternoon for a weekend hunt. The gun season ends this weekend, so I will be hunting with my 45/70. I will get back to hunting at home next week but I sure hope the deer start getting back to a normal routine. Good Luck to those who are still hunting.

Hey guys I have been hella busy with work and certification training for work so long days has kept me out of the stand.
Last night I told my wife that I planned on shooting 1 or 2 doe this weekend if I got the opportunity. I got out of class a little early and got home to a steaming bowl of chili! After that my attention turned to brown ninjas in my back yard. I got my bow, went out and moved in a position to get a nice 20-25 yard shot onto where the doe browse for food. a momma with twins came in, and about 5 other deer and a nice bigole trophy doe. It was cold, I sniffled she heard me. She started stomping around looking for me. With no perceived threat she turned back around, broad side to me, dropped her head to eat and I let my Black Eagle Renegade fly. Clean pass through, she made an about face to shot off like a bullet. she made it about 25 yards, did a death flop and slid back down the hill 5 yards. Great double lung pass through., and 50 points on the board.

No need to apologize. It's just your southern manners. I should know, I married a Texan. She was born in Houston and later moved to Elkhart, TX. She has been in PA since 1995 and still says "bless your heart".

So who is left that still has Archery season left?
Our PA archery season comes back in the day after Christmas. It doesn't go out in Ohio until Feb. 4th.

Sorry I have been slacking guys. I've been more in a fishing mood still over hunting. its been a tough year in the woods for me. Limited time and bad choices have kicked my butt. I Was able to harvest a doe Wednesday afternoon with a bow and my orange on. Will get the pictures posted in the score card for us. I hope you are all doing well! I'm a baby when it comes to cold weather hunting but will try to tough it out a time or if I'm still getting buck pictures.

We got 5 inches at my place about 15 miles west of Zanesville. When i left for work this morning around 6:30 it was 10 degrees, I think tomorrow is supposed to be 6. Wife said there were 5 doe and a big bodied spike in the yard around 4:30 digging through the snow looking for corn. And all nigh they were coming and going, full moon and the snow it was like day light outside lol.

I sent a private message to Shane about getting his first buck entered before Fitz does the next update. My name is Scott. I think if you go to the first couple of pages you will find almost every ones name. It was kind of an introduction to each other.
